Mumbai, 31st August 2020 - Mass Appeal India, home to the biggest, best and future Indian hip hop stars in association with Gully Gang Entertainment announce the release of a brand-new track, ‘Stage’ by one of India’s most versatile and diverse rap quartets – Aavrutti. Mentored by DIVINE, the young lyrical marksmen from Mumbai, comprised of Frenzzy, Saifan, Sammohit, and Sledge.
‘Stage,’ the first single from their upcoming debut album ‘Naya Zamana,’ that dives into the backstage life and emotions an artist experiences right before a live performance. The themes within the track alternate between the nuances of a performance to the energy exchange between artists and their audience.
Directed by Gltch.in a.k.a. Mohit Mukhi, the music video for “Stage” is a one take music video shot during the lockdown. The storyline presents an invented futuristic scenario showcasing Aavrutti’s mindset right before they are going to perform their debut album ‘Naya Zamana’ for their fans on stage. The music video for this single was set up in a green room imbibing a backstage impression to create an atmosphere parallel to how it was when the collective went on stage for a show before the lockdown was announced.

Expressing their excitement on their first single from their forthcoming album, Aavrutti comment, “It is an emotional moment for us as we present the first single from our upcoming debut album “Naya Zamana”. The track is an attempt to express the excitement and edginess that artists experience before taking to the stage. Talking about the video Mohit Mukhi says, “Being caught in the middle of a pandemic, it was best to showcase visuals that described their longing to be on a stage as well as their fan’s anticipation to see them live. The music video ends with ‘to be continued...’ which means there’s a surprise element coming up next.”

Aavrutti are a young revolutionary hip hop collective made up of four supremely talented individuals. Frenzzy, Sammohit, Saifan and Sledge makeup Mumbai’s most diverse and versatile rap quartet. Coming from varied experiences and backgrounds, the quartet tell their own story but manage to weave it with each other.
