Andhra Pradesh, the state of India with the second largest coastline is situated in the southeastern part, adjoining the Bay of Bengal. The topographical terrain of the state is the Coastal region, plains, Peninsular Plateau and Eastern ghats, Hills like(Tirumala, Chintapalli). The only state, in the Indian subcontinent with 4 capitals. The largest city, Visakhapatnam the executive capital; Amaravati, the legislative capital and Kurnool, the judicial capital and Hyderabad respectively.
Andhra Pradesh is the first state formed, based on linguistic differences on 1 October 1953. The city of Hyderabad is the shared capital of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana(the state carved out from Andhra Pradesh). Amaravati in Guntur district is a 2,000-year-old heritage town which is the oldest place in Indian history, as per the information available and also has many old Buddhist sculptures. The state is the home for the world-famous, Kohinoor, the diamond with the queen of England, which is said to be stolen from India.
