All these meals are traditionally served on long banana leaves. This practice is often ecological in terms of environment and has health benefits too. Paper Industry
The first manufacturing unit of Mysore paper mill limited was established in 1936 at Bhadravati in Karnataka. Several new mills are in the areas of Nanjangud, Krishnarajanagar, Satyagala, Mundgod, Munirabad, Yediyur and Bengaluru. Karnataka ranks fourth in the production of paper within the country.
Cement Industry
The first cement mill in Karnataka was established at Bhadravathi in 1939. Later, factories were set and planted at Bagalkot, Ammasandra of Tumkur district and Shahabad of Kalaburagi district. The state produces 8% of the entire cement of the country.
Sugar Industry
