The state also teaches a fabric making exercise, applied in various other parts called Batik, a gift from the culture of former generations of Chhattisgarh. Most parts of the natives are from tribal areas holding similar yet distinctive values, though the other parts of the region follow the Oriya culture, and thus believe in easy and simple living with not much pomp and show. The ethnicity imbibed in them can be seen from their folklores, dancing styles, music, the stories one generation tells others.
Some cultural festivals like Chakradhar Samaroh, Sirpur Mahotsav, Rajim Kumbh and Bastar Lokotsav etc show the rural and real identity. These people are the ones who constitute the real India and are carrying the diverse prospects of the country. Intricate wood carvings, metalwork, terracotta sculptures, vessel carving, jewellery and garment weavings are part of local income for the artisans and are the bread earning activity for most of the population there.
Tourist Centres of the state are Chitrakote Falls, Tirathgarh Falls, Keshkal valley, Kangerghati National Park, Kailash caves, Sita Bongara and Kutumbsar caves and more. The state is rich in topographical aspects and has terrains, plains, caves, waterfalls, rivers, wildlife parks, carved temples, Buddhist destinations and others. Though most of the area of the state is Jungle, which has many mammals and reptiles, that is rich in wildlife, the flora and fauna.
