PART A
The subjects covered under Part A are English, Islamic Studies and General Knowledge. Questions about Reading Comprehensions, Para Jumbles, Grammar and Vocabulary. Under Islamic Studies, candidates will have to attain in-depth knowledge of Islamic Literature and Culture.
Candidates will be asked questions based on the legacy of Islam, its literature, Quranic Islam, History and Philosophy of Islam, etc. The third subject of Part A is General Studies which entails questions from Politics, Economics, Business, Sports, etc.
PART B
The topics and patterns of both the papers vary but for B.Tech and B.Sc. Program subjects included are- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Those who appear for B.Sc in Biological Science will have to study topics covered under Biological Science.
Exam for 5-years Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc in English shall be based on reading comprehensions, Para Jumbles, Grammar and Vocabulary. Similarly, subject-specific topics will be covered for Business Administration and Geography.
Those appearing for Postgraduate courses will have to go through subjects and topics studied at the time of Graduation.
For BA programmes candidates need to know and understand the exam pattern, marking scheme and syllabus well enough to ace the entrance exam which is conducted by Aliah University. The entrance exam is divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A is based on general knowledge and testing of the English skills which is of 25 marks while Part B is based on the course opted for, which carries 75 marks.

Subjective question paper for:
All B.Tech. & BCA programmes will comprise
Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Integrated BBA-MBA programme will be on basic Mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, Commercial Arithmetic and elementary knowledge in the concerned area.
All UG (3-year) programmes (except Arabic, Urdu, Islamic Theology, B.Ed and Nursing) will comprise of concerned subjects as per syllabi of classes XI and XII of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE).
The nursing programme will comprise Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
3-year Honours in Arabic and Urdu comprise as per the Arabic and Urdu syllabus of H.S. or equivalent examination.
A 3-year B.A. in Theology (Honours and General) is based on the West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education.
All 2-years Masters programmes (including M. Tech programmes except MJMC) are segregated subject wise.
MJMC will be on English (concept of Language and Literature), Fundamentals of Journalism & Mass Communication having its role as the fourth pillar of Indian Democracy, Sports and Cinema.
The 3-year MCA programme will consist of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Problem Solving Questions, Discrete Quantitative Analysis and Basic Mathematics.
LATERAL ENTRY to B.Tech programme will have Mathematics, Basic Computer Science, Strength of Material, Engineering Mechanics, and Environmental Engg. & Basic Electrical Technology.
