BCECE examination for the year 2024 will be conducted in June 2024. The entrance examination of BCECE is organized each year by the BCECE Board, Government of Bihar. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination is a state-level examination held to offer admission into very professional undergraduate courses in Engineering, Agriculture & Medical courses in the state of Bihar. Applicants are mandatorily required to qualify for the entrance test to get admission into participative colleges or institutes. This entrance examination has been conducted in online mode, so far.

The entrance examination is conducted in a pen-paper based test mode and the examination duration will be 1 hour 30 minutes for every paper. There shall be separate question papers for BCECE i.e. Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Agriculture and every paper will be carrying 100 questions of a total of 400 marks.

It is noteworthy that BCECE was previously held for Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy and Architecture but the exam was scrapped in the year 2019. After this, the BCECEB board conducted counselling for Engineering and Architecture courses based on JEE Main scores, and for Medical, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry courses based on the NEET scores.

Students are required to carefully check all the details present in the admit card and in case of any discrepancy they need to inform the officials as soon as possible about that. If we want to download the admit card then they will have to use the login details that they were provided during the application process.

On the day of the exam, all the aspirants are required to strictly follow all the instructions and notifications that are mentioned on the admit card. Along with that, the students are also required to bring along all the documents that are mentioned in the admit card to be eligible to give the exam.

BCECE 2024 Admit Card will be launched on October 1, 2024, as per the tentative dates. The official dates are yet to be announced by the officials. Only the aspirants who have successfully registered for the exam will qualify to download the admit card issued by the authorities after implementing their registration number and their date of birth. The exam is supposed to be conducted in October.

The process to download the admit card:

• 1. Nationality:
  • The candidate must be of Indian nationality.
  • The candidate must be from Bihar state.
  • The aspirant’s parents must be permanent resident of the Bihar state.
  • Aspirants whose parents are registered refugees of Bihar state can also apply.
  • If a candidate's parents are from a different state, but they are government employees of Bihar state, then they are eligible.
• 2. Age Criteria:
  • Medical Courses: Aspirants must have accomplished 17 years of age by 31st December 2024.
  • Pharmacy Courses: No minimum age limit for engineering & pharmacy courses.
  • Agriculture Courses: Minimum age should be 16 years as of 31st August 2024.
• 3. For admissions, aspirants need to go through the medical test. Aspirants are going to be eligible for admission post clearing this test.
• 4. Qualification Criteria:
  • For Pharmacy (4 years Course):
    • -   Qualifying Exam: Passed 12th or equivalent exams from a well-renowned education board.
    • -   Subjects: Pass the entrance examination with physics and chemistry as mandatory subjects and 1 elective paper from maths/bio subjects.
    • -   Minimum Marks: Procure a minimum of 45% marks (for the general candidate) and 40% marks (for the reserved candidate) in the 12th or equivalent exam.
    • -   Aspirants appearing in the intermediate or other associative examination are eligible for application but they must pass the appearing examination during the time of the counselling.
  • For Medical Courses:
    • -   Qualifying Exam: Passed 10+2/higher secondary/ISC or its associative or equivalent exam from the participating university.
    • -   Subjects: Ace the above examination with English (Language & Literature), Chemistry, Physics, Biology (Botany & Zoology).
• 5. Appearing Candidates can also apply.

The papers of engineering and medical eligibility criteria shall remain the same as that is for the examination of both JEE mains and NEET respectively.

Step 1: BCECE 2024 Application

Aspirants who are interested in admissions through BCECE are required to first apply for the exam in the online mode. The form of application for the BCECE examination 2024 will be available on the official website of the examination board. The process of application for BCECE 2024 includes the registration, filling of academic and personal details, uploading documents and payment of fees. Step 2: Download BCECE 2024 Admit Card

All the aspirants who have successfully applied for the entrance examination will be issued their respective admit cards for appearing in the entrance examination. The admit card will contain important details like the aspirants' name, enrollment number, exam centre name and location, et cetera. All the aspirants are required to download their admit cards from the official website of BCECE, which is already mentioned above. The admit card will only be generated after the candidate successfully enters their login details. The aspirants are required to take the admit cards along with them on the exam day with a photo identity card which is validated by the government.

Step 3: Appear for BCECE 2024 Examination

All the aspirants are required to appear for the BCECE 2024 examination according to the exams scheduled that is mentioned on their respective admit cards. The examination is supposed to be conducted in a pen and paper-based test mode. It has been decided that there will be 6 different sections or papers for all the streams and every paper is destined to be of 1 hour and 30 minutes. All the candidates are instructed to report to the allotted exam centres at least 1 hour before the exam timings.

Step 4: Check BCECE 2024 Result

The results will be announced by BCECE on the same day for all the papers. The qualifying statuses of all the candidates can be checked along with their marks in BCECE 2024 examination once they login on to the official website mentioned above. A separate merit list will also be published by BCECEB for all subject groups based on which admissions will be provided for different streams or courses.

Step 5: Appear for BCECE 2024 Counselling

All the aspirants are required to participate in the counselling rounds of this particular examination, that is, BCECE 2024, according to the merit list published by the board. The conducting body for 30 of the examination will allot separate seats at the participating colleges based on the merit lists, eligibility criteria and reservation criteria. All the candidates will be given a chance to select their preferences from all the lists of colleges that accept BCECE examination scores. Furthermore, candidates who are looking for admission for reserve seats are required to provide relevant documents at the time of counselling so that the verification can be done accordingly.

• On the examination day, candidates should carry their BCECE 2024 admit card as allotted to them along with a valid photo identity card proof.
• Candidates should not take any electronic device or mobile phones/, headphones or calculators on the exam day because it is not allowed inside the examination hall
• Aspirants should not carry any edibles inside the exam centre except for the water that may be allowed by the centre officials
• In case of any inaccuracy about the admit card or location of the exam centre, make sure to clarify that information by the exam authority at least five days before the exam date
• Aspirants must follow the suggestions of the examination centre authority to prevent termination from the exam venue.
• Aspirants must carefully occupy the seat allotted to them or the seat number will go wrong in the attendance sheet that may lead to the cancellation of their candidature
• Refrain from any unfair examination practices, make sure to maintain discipline and silence inside the examination hall during the examination.
