Religion composition in Meghalaya is Hindu 11.53%, Muslim 4.40%, Christan 74.59%, Sikh 0.10%, Buddhist 0.33%, Jain 0.02% and Other Religious 8.71% as per the census data of 2011.

For women, the traditional wear is Jainsen, while men wear a loincloth. The traditional attire of the population is divided and segregated according to their tribal community and the region of residence. Khasi Tribe, men have a long cloth around the waist usually loose and unstitched.
