ADDTION WORKSHEET FOR CLASS 3
Introduction:
In the first sheet, there is a big list of questions provided and a corresponding answer key that apparently has all the solutions.
The next step for the young students is to attempt to answer the questions provided in the first Sheet. After doing that they have to refer to the answer key
Here the challenge is to find the sum of a two digit number and a one digit number.
The Students of class 3 have to familiarize themselves with the concept of 'addition of two numbers' again in this math worksheet. Here, the numbers included in the sum are : a two digit number and a one digit number.
Instructions to solve the worksheet
The kids can easily see for themselves that they have to add a two digit number and a 1 digit number.
For eg., on the first line, first column, of the questionnaire, the young student is expected to do addition and find the sum of:
16 + 5 = __
In this sum, 16 is a two digit number, 5 is a one digit number. The students are also then expected to write the answer in the blank provided.
It was said in the previous paragraph, that the student will slowly pick up and learn the concept of 'adding', using their fingers. That's the easiest method to get the sum of a two digit number with a one digit number.
Conclusion
The student will now understand that even in this maths worksheet the principle is the same- it will help teach the students to understand how to add the sum of two numbers.
The students can also now take one look at the second sheet for answers. By doing so they will learn if their calculations are right.
It is only after doing the comparison of one's own work with the solution that is given in the corresponding answer key, that it gets retained into the memory, because in doing so, the child is reading it twice without realising.
The use of colorful letters and numbers (text) will engage and encourage the young students' focus and attention like in the previous worksheets.
