Addition Sums Worksheet For Class 3
Introduction:
In this math worksheet, there is a list of questions given and also there is a corresponding answer sheet that has all the solutions to the questions.
The children are expected to answer the questions in the first sheet, and then refer to the answers on the second sheet (for the solutions)
In this worksheet, the students of class 3 are expected to find the sum of a two digit number and a one digit number.
The aim of this worksheet is to help the students of class 3 to familiarize themselves with the concept of 'adding two numbers'. In this case, the students are adding two numbers which include a two digit number and a one digit number.
Instructions to solve the worksheet
Here in the first sheet, the students can see that they are expected to perform an addition sum of two digit numbers and a 1 digit number.
For eg., on the first line, first column, of the questions list, the student is expected to do basic addition and find the sum of:
31 + 7 = __
While in this sum, 31 is a two digit number, 7 is a one digit number. The answer of this sum is 38.
The students are also expected to write the answer in the blank provided.
Like mentioned in the above paragraph, the student will be better able to understand the basic concept of 'addition''. In this case, it is the sum of a two digit number with a one digit number.
Upon solving the questions in the first sheet, the student will come across the second sheet,
and find solutions to the questions that he was working so hard to solve.
However, it is only upon the child's close observation that he will find that both pages are not the same. The student will realize that the second sheet has answers to the questions provided in the first sheet and that in the second sheet, the blanks are not empty, instead answers are written.
Conclusion
The students of class 3 will understand that this sheet of paper in front of them is a worksheet, that is teaching them how to add two numbers ( basic addition)
How will they start to learn?
Upon comparison of one's own work with the solution provided in the answer key, it gets retained into the memory.
The use of colorful text helps to engage the attention of a child. It also encourages them to focus and with their concentration.
