Place Value Worksheet for Class 2: Build a 3 Digits Number
Introduction:
Here in these basic maths worksheets, there are several exercises given here that are about doing basic maths concepts like making a 3 digit number from the parts provided. After doing so the final 4 digit number is to be written.
These exercises are a very effective way to teach the young students of class about how to gain a basic sense of making a 3 digit number in terms of units, 10’s, and 100’s.
The basic maths worksheets are created based on the idea of helping students who are young children to learn and understand how to do the same.
The student is then expected to look at the first sheet very carefully- . He then has to write down the final answer in the blanks provided.
The student will also start to understand what is expected from the questionnaire, and will also understand how to complete it or fill in the empty boxes based on his past experience with numbers. Finally, the number which is the final answer is to be entered by the student in the boxes according to its value in units, tens and 100’s respectively.
The answer key on the second sheet provides the students with the solution to the above question. Students who are otherwise bad in doing the above activity can refer to the answer key if they need help with doing the same.
Instructions to solve the worksheet
This worksheet is specifically created for very young students who don't know much about placing numbers according to their units, tens and 100’s. They are still young and can't understand how this is done.
Let’s, take an example, from the worksheet itself:
- 700+70+9
upon referring to the answer sheet, the given answer is 779
(Hint : The number has been placed according to its units, i.e. 9, its 10’s- 70, and its 100’s i.e. 700.)
The second sheet is a copy of the first sheet and has the same question as in the first sheet also.
In the second sheet however, the solution is also given next to the question. From this we can understand that the second sheet is the answer key.
Conclusion
These basic maths worksheets can be a great and effective learning aid! They can be used for teaching students who are still young kids how to arrange the numbers according to units, tens and 100’s and finally write the answer in the blank that is provided.
In these worksheets, text is large and bright in colour, so that they spark learning in the children. and their interest as well.
