Introduction:

Here two sheets are given and both are math worksheets. They are created with the purpose of teaching students of class 2. The questions given are very basic mathematic calculations that aren't too difficult for students of class 2.

The student can understand just by loking at both worksheets provided that the main function seems to be about 'learning' the basic concepts of multiplication!

After completing sheet 1, the young students who are children, will begin to understand the basic concept of multiplication. After attempting these exercises they will get the idea of 'multiplying single numbers' using a 2 times table.

There are 20 sums given in the question sheet provided.(sheet 1).

All of these sums are simple multiplication calculations of just two single digits numbers. The children will learn the basic concept of multiplication easily after attempting these questions. The problems that are given in sheet 1 are all for beginner-level children.

This exercise that will help all young students. It will also enable them to relax while learning something new. Soon they will start to understand the concept of basic multiplication in mathematics.

Simple Description of Sheet 1

On the first worksheet, the children are given some sums in which they are to multiply two single digit numbers and to just fill in the blank space provided. In this sheet it is required that they should have a firm knowledge of their 2 times table. There are 20 such questions. The children are then required to fill in the blanks with the appropriate answer.

For eg. On the first line, first column, the students are asked to solve the following problem.

4 x ___ = 8

In the following example, the number 4 is given and the product 8 is also given. There is a blank provided that a student will be able to fill only if he is well aquainted with 2 times table.

Another example,

For eg. On the first line, second column, the students are asked to solve the following problem.

____ x 2 = 14

In the above example, the blank is given, the next number in the sequence '2' is provided, and the product is also given that is 14. Again here the blank is provided that a student will be able to fill only if he is well aquainted with 2 times table.

Simple description of sheet 2

The second sheet provided is supposed to be ' the answer key' but the order is mixed up. The question are all related to 2 times table and the answers are all provided in sheet 2 even though the order is mixed up

Conclusion

The young students who, are children are to write down the answers in the empty spaces/blanks provided. The questions in sheet 1, are relatively simple, and it might be a bit challenging for those students who do not know their 2 times table.

  • The children notice sheet 2 is almost the same as sheet 1. They wil also be able to realise that they are looking at an answer key and will learn to use it properly.
  • The children will start to understand basic concepts of multiplication that includes finding the product of two single digit numbers by using the 2 times time table.
  • Memorizing the answers that are provided in sheet 2 will be easier because of the above (see pt.1). Both sheets can be compared side by side, the student will learn to properly refer to the answer sheet, not only for finding the right answer, but also for understanding the basic concepts of multiplication and finding the product.
  • Here too, both sheets are intended for teaching simple math concepts in an easy to learn way.It includes the numbers in a colorful font. This will not only attract the attention of the young readers but keep them engaged in their learning process.
