Multiplication Worksheet 2 for class 2
Introduction:
The two sheets that are given here are both math worksheets. They are created with the purpose of teaching students of class 2. The questions given here are very basic mathematic calculations that don't seem too difficult for students of class 2.
Even before attempting to answer this worksheet, we can understand that the main function seems to be 'learning' basic concepts of multiplication!
After answering all the questions in sheet 1, the young students who are children, will understand the concept of multiplication. What's more is that after attempting these exercises they will get the hang of 'multiplying single numbers'
After reading through the first sheet, one can see that there are 20 sums given in the question sheet provided.(sheet 1).
All of these are simple multiplication calculations of just two single digits numbers. The children will learn the multiplication concept easily after attempting the questions. The problems given in sheet 1 are quite simplistic and are beginner-level multiplication sums.
This exercise that will help all young students. It will also enable them to relax while learning something new. Soon they will start to understand the concept of basic multiplication in mathematics. These sheets are designed with the basic idea of teaching students how to multiply numbers.
Simple Description of Sheet 1
On the first sheet of the workbook, the children are asked to multiply two single digit numbers and to write down the 'product' in the blank space provided. There are 20 such questions. The children are then required to fill in the blanks with the appropriate answer.
For eg. On the first line, first column, the students are asked to solve the following problem.
2 x 3 = ___
In the following example, the numbers 2 and 3, are single digits, and the kids are required to fill the blank, ie with the 'product' which is usually obtained by referring to a multiplication time table.
Simple description of sheet 2
The second sheet that is provided looks similar to sheet one, but if one observes closely, they will find that both pages are not really the same. Sheet 2 is actually the answer key and is purposely designed in the same way. It also contains all the answers to the questions provided in sheet 1.
Conclusion
So the main challenge here, for the young students who, are children is to write down the answers in the empty space provided. The questions in sheet 1, are relatively simple, and it might be a bit challenging for those students who generally have problems with doing their multiplication.
- In simpler words the children will immediately observe that sheet 2 is almost the same as sheet 1. Soon enough they wil realise that they are looking at an answer key and will learn to use it properly.
- The children will start to understand basic concepts of multiplication that includes finding the product of two single digit numbers by using the multiplication time table.
- Memorizing the answers that are provided in sheet 2 will be easier because of the above (see pt.1). Both sheets can be compared side by side, the student will learn to properly refer to the answer sheet, not only for finding the right answer, but also for understanding the basic concepts of multiplication and finding the product.
- It is by now very clear that both sheets are intended for teaching simple math concepts in an easy to learn fashion. It includes the numbers in a colorful font. This will attract the attention of the young students and keep them engaged in their learning process.
