ADDTION WORKSHEET FOR CLASS 2
Introduction:
Welcome to this informative guide for using the given maths worksheets for basic addition for students of class 2. In this guide you can read all about how to use this worksheet. Here is a brief description:
Just like most of the 2 page maths worksheets provided, these worksheets consist of a list of questions and an answer sheet.
In this worksheet, the children are asked to find the sum of a 1 digit and a 2 digit number.
How will these worksheets help the young students who are new to maths concepts? The students will learn to familiarise themselves with basic concepts of adding the sum of two given numbers, and understand the basic difference between a 1 digit and a 2 digit number which is obviously something new to them.
The worksheets will enable the students to memorise what they have learnt . They will do so promptly upon comparison with the answer key which contains all the solutions to the questions in sheet 1.
Instructions to solve the worksheet
We can observe that on the first worksheet, the children are asked to add two numbers.
For eg. in the first sheet, you will find on the first line, in column 1, the student is asked to do a basic addition sum. He has to find the sum of 84 (2 digit number) and 2 (1 digit number).
It's obvious that like mentioned above in the introduction, that the student will learn to familiarise themselves with the basic maths concepts of addition when he does this. There are many methods to do addition sums, specially when they involve addition of a double digit and a single digit number. (They can do the ‘carry over’ by writing it down on a piece of rough paper and make counting easier using their fingers.)
Even though the second sheet provided looks similar to sheet 1, upon closer observation, the child will find out for himself, that both the pages are indeed not the same. He also will notice that the second sheet is the 'answer key' in which all the solutions to questions in the questionnaire are provided.
Conclusion
- Again in this particular worksheet the student is asked to answer the questions and compare the answers.
- The children will learn proper use of the answer key.
- The students will learn to use an answer key to memorise basic maths concepts like addition.
- Here it's very clear that this is intended to teach a simple maths concept in an easy to learn fashion.
- It also includes colourful text that is interesting for a young student, and will keep him engaged in the learning process.
