EVS Worksheet : Human Body For Class 2 Kids.

Introduction:

Face parts play an important part in everyone's cognitive and emotional development. It is well known that as children grow up they experiment with lots of new things, new smells, new sensations, and also many new faces. As soon as they’re born, babies start putting their senses to practice while looking around their surroundings and getting acquainted with the people that surround them and their face parts and their expressions.

Parts of face

For infants, one of the first approaches to the world happens as they learn to discern parts of the body or more specifically parts of their face and people’s facial expressions. Recognizing friendly faces makes them feel confident and calm and, looking at a not so friendly face triggers the responses for fear or anger, which are important for their own survival while learning to differentiate good from bad things .

The forehead, comprising the skin beneath the hairline, bordered laterally by the temples and inferiorly by eyebrows and ears.

The eyes, sitting in the orbit and protected by eyelids and eyelashes.

The distinctive human nose shape, nostrils, and nasal septum.

The cheeks, covering the maxilla and mandibular the extremity of which is the chin.

The mouth, with the upper lip and lower lip divided by the philtrum, sometimes revealing the teeth.

Facial appearance is vital for human recognition and communication. Facial muscles in humans allow expression of emotions.

Eyes

Below the forehead, above the nose lies a pair of eyes which provide us with a Sense of sight

Mouth

Located Below the nose helps in Eating, talking and breathing, it has tongue that provides us with sense of taste

Nose

It is located at the Middle of the face ands helps us in breathing and provides us with a sense of smell; keeping out foreign particles (with nose hairs)

Tongue

It is present Inside the mouth provides us with Sense of taste (with taste buds) helps in talking, talking (forming words) and swallowing food.

Teeth

They are also present Inside the mouth, we have 16 pairs of teeth that help us in Chewing and grinding food to be digested.

Ear

We have a pair of ears located On either side of the head. It provides us with Sense of hearing and maintaining balance.

Hair

We have a cluster of hairs present on our body that helps in Regulating body temperature.

Eyebrows

These s are the thin hairs present on the lower side of forehead and just above the eyelids protecting our eyes from dust and sweat.

Eyelids

They cover each of the upper and lower folds of skin which cover the eye when closed. They provide protection to our eyes.
