Changing State of Matter | Educational Videos

Hello boys and girls, How are you all?

I hope you are all doing well and today we are going to learn about changing States of matter!

or in easy words the secret behind ice cream!

We are also going to find out what cold ice and hot steam have!

Did you ever wonder why sometimes rain Falls from the clouds?

Also why does it sometimes snow?

And how does all this get into clouds?

Maybe by all that rain, snow and hail And all sorts of stuff fall from clouds And bad weather.

Well that's just water taking different forms.

The clouds themselves are 1 or 2.

Well now that is strange because all these things look and behave very differently though they are the same water.

Rain is wet, snowflakes are soft and light And hail is hard and heavy. Are they all really made of water?

Yes, that's how it is.

Like many other materials water can take three different forms : the solid form, liquid form, and the gaseous form.

Now how is that possible?

You see that everyday but you probably have never noticed it closely!

Let's step into your kitchen and take a closer look.

Solids, liquids and gases can be found all over the place.

First light with some water on the spot .

Now let its heat energy by turning on the stove.

We will now wait for the water to heat up.

When the water heats up it starts making steam like this,

Sometimes we can see that steam collects on Mirrors and glass .

We are going to use a Pop top to try and collect the steam.

Well let's move on to another mystery,

how does this ice look in the ice tray/

It's because the water has been frozen due to very low temperatures in the refrigerator.

Just like that if we freeze a special type of milk we are going to get ice cream.

Do you like ice cream?

I just love it, especially in the summer.

Now do you understand what cooling does to liquids?

But what about steam?

A lot of heat energy is applied on water ,Boils and turns into steam.

steam is very light that's why it goes up!

That means water changes its state from liquid to gas when heat energy is applied to it.

Just like that when a youth water body like a sea or Ocean is won't up by the sun then the surface water also boils up and it is called evaporation which makes steam that take the form of Clouds in the above Sky when these clouds become full of moisture or the steam has become so much, it starts precipitating or or raining that is the change of of gaseous form of water to liquid form of water.

In case if temperature is very cool at Higher altitudes like mountains then the moisture instead of Rain drops, forms snowflakes aur ise Petals.

On raining or snow fall the water again returns back to these water bodies some way or the other.

That is what we call a complete water cycle.

Now are you all able to understand what I am trying to tell you!

o! very well that you did it!

Thanks for watching smart kids!

Take care bye!
