Whistling Woods International School of Event Management Hosted the 2nd Edition of the Event Education Festival – A 3-Day Virtual Celebration of Knowledge & Learning
~ The biggest, annual education festival witnessed 30+ panel discussions featuring 90+ speakers including Roshan Abbas, Lydia Buthello, Meet Bros to name a few~
Mumbai, August 2, 2021: Learning can never be hindered, irrespective of the circumstances and the 2nd edition of the Event Education Festival (EEF) bore witness to it. Hosted by Whistling Woods International (WWI) School of Event Management, the biggest virtual education festival offered 3 days of uninterrupted learning and knowledge sharing by the best of the experts from the event management, experiential marketing, media & entertainment, and creative arts industry. Scheduled from July 1-3, 2021, the theme for this year’ edition of the Event Education Festival revolved around ‘Curating an Eventful Tomorrow’. Featuring 90+ eminent speakers, the festival offered the attendees the opportunity to participate in 30+ expert-led panel discussions, case study sessions, and much more.
“WWI has always undertaken efforts to offer aspirants various platforms to expand their horizons & knowledge through industry-led interactions. The idea of this festival originated when we as an institute felt the need to explore and share with our students and aspirants about what is new and happening in the event management & experiential marketing industry. The first day of the Event Education Festival unfolded with immense enthusiasm with the opening segment on ‘Building Tomorrow’s Education Paradigms in Live Entertainment, Media & Creative Arts’, featuring Meghna Ghai Puri, and Jateen Rajput, HOD, WWI School of Event Management. The subsequent panel featured Roshan Abbas in discussion with Gokul Krishnamoorthy. Discussing the ‘Industry Overview – Event Management & Experiential Marketing’, the session highlighted how the industry has undergone changes and is evolving with time, especially in terms of training, talents, and the increased demand for events.
The remaining sessions for the day covered diverse topics related to the event management industry. While Parthip Thyagarajan, Prateek Tandon, Megha R Israni & Ninad Nerkar discussed ‘How are Weddings Going to Lead the Event Industry?’; Bhavna Pani and Ashvin D Gidwani shared their views on ‘The New Normal – A Theatrical Phenomena’. Other sessions that followed through the course of the day were – ‘Commencing the Entrepreneurial Journey’, featuring Dinesh Kumar, Nishit Shah, Amit Gupta, Harshal Kothari & Manish Tandon; ‘Virtual & Hybrid Events – Way To Future’, featuring Vijay Sabhlok, Hariom Seth & Shiva Sureka; ‘Evolving Brand Solutions’, featuring Sachin V Kumbhar, Sunny Vohra, Mansi Negi & Gautam Jain; ‘Vocal For Local’ featuring Monica Murthy in discussion with Jai Mundra, Shashank Gupta, Rahul Soni & Dipti Shah; ‘Future of Production’ featuring Shane Dsouza; Ali Safdar Zaidi; Murali Rao & Parth Shah; ‘Leader’ Perspective – My World Tomorrow’ featuring Suresh Venkat, Anil Singh & Girish Bhat and ‘Crypto & NFTs in Entertainment & Creative Arts’ featuring Chaitanya Chinchlikar & Pareen Lathia.
With the same level of zeal continuing, the second day of the Event Education Festival started with a fascinated panel discussion on ‘Behind the Scenes with #OffTheComms’ featuring Meghaa Ghosh, Anshu Kothari, Apaar Bhandari & Sony Advani Parikh. The following panels for the day included – Kunal Khambhati, Shoven Shah, Jatin Varma, Chaitanya Mathur & Cyrus Gorimar in discussion regarding ‘IPs – Changing the Game of Sponsorship’; ‘Preparing for a Comeback?’, featuring Jateen Rajput, Ravi Mehta, Shaheen Jehani, Raj Mutreja & Khushboo Balwani Rawal; a special session by Vivek Bhargava about ‘Happiness is a Muscle’; ‘Opportunities & Growth in the Experiential Space’, featuring Suresh Kurapaty, Mayank Lalpuria, Abhijit Das, Deepansh Bhargava & Tarun Mehra; ‘Content – the New Currency’, featuring Punita Parekh, Anant Kamal, Kanika Mohan Saxena, Nanditta S Mahadevia & Pooja Jauhari; ‘Venue & the Way Forward’, featuring Pooja Gulati in conversation with Lydia Buthello; Akshay Basrur & Tenzing Niyogi sharing their thoughts about ‘Sports League in India’ and ‘Artist Management – The Art Behind the Artist’, featuring Vaibhav Mota, Alaap Gosher, Kinjal Bhattacharya & Vivek Machetti. The second day came to a lively end with a special panel discussion featuring the Meet Bros duo – Manmeet Singh & Harmeet Singh in discussion with Deepak Choudhary about the ‘Business of Music’.
Through the course of two days, several intriguing topics were explored such as New-Age Technological Innovations, Event Entrepreneurship, Existing Scenarios in Event Management, Impact of Digital Space on Experiential Marketing and many more.
The final day of the Event Education Festival included thought-provoking expert panels by various schools under the WWI umbrella. The day started on a empowering note with Rahul Puri, Head – Academics, WWI, sharing an ‘Overview of the Media & Entertainment Industry’. Following his keynote address, WWI School of Animation & Game Design featured Vivek Nag, Jaydev Dhakan, Rounak Magoo, Mohammad Khalikh & Yohan Kashyap in an intriguing conversation about ‘The Realtime Adventure – Advances in the Virtual World’. WWI School of Media & Communication hosted the panel on ‘Future of Media & Entertainment’ featuring Rahul Puri, Chetan Asher, Raj Nair & Ajay Mehta. WWI School of Design hosted Milindo Taid, Nupur Bhargava, Vivek Sheth & Jigna Shah Oza for a session on ‘Contemporary Design Practice – Challenges & Opportunities’. The following session on ‘How Virtual Production is Enabling Filmmakers to Reimagine the Filmmaking Process’ featured Chaitanya Chinchlikar, Priyan Parab & Vivek Reddy. WWI School of Fashion presented a panel on ‘Fashion – Treading Smart & Wise’ featuring Jewellyn Alvares, Nelson Jaffrey & Deepit Chugh. Featuring D. Wood & Mahesh Raghavan, the final session of the 3-day Event Education Festival, hosted by WWI School of Music not only highlighted ‘What’s New in Music Production & Technology’ but also offered a live musical performance.
