The need for a well-balanced education system has become a necessity for everyone existing in the country as it plays a significant catalyst in growth and development. As we know that irrespective of one's family background, the gross income the right to education is a necessity for everyone. Thus, the government of a nation shall work to strengthen the system which is more accountable for every citizen. It should mainly aim to enhance the features and policies as per the need of the country's citizens so that it can contribute to the overall development and growth of its economy. Every child should get an equal opportunity to attend school regularly and get educated as it is rightly said that "educated people make a well-educated nation". Teachings of a sound education system help us improve our lives in every possible way. For individuals, being literate raises self-confidence and opens opportunities for earning. It reduces the poor population and develops long-term economic growth on a country-wide level.
The Indian education system is quite an old and rigid education system. It has produced so many genius minds that are making the country proud worldwide. However, while it is one of the oldest systems following in the world, it is still not that developed compared to other countries, which are, in fact, newer. This is so as the other countries have gone through many series of growth, development and advancement, but the Indian education system is still stuck in old age classrooms. It faces many problems that need to be addressed to let it reach its full potential.
Education System in India is majority divided into four stages
The age group of lower primary school is children of 6 to 10 years; for upper primary, it consists of 11 and 12 years. Children start their high school usually at the age of 14 end at 16. Finally, at the age of 17 and 18 years, they finish their higher secondary schooling.
Our county schools and colleges' education is detached from regular life. As formed and presented through the conventional methods of education, the curriculum does not give the students the right insight into the real world in which they are living. As a result, when they finish their studies, they feel misunderstood and awkwardly adjusted in society.

The education practices must contribute to a child's development and the evolution of healthy habits, attitudes, and attributes of character so that the students can become more effective and disciplined citizens of the nation after achieving their studies.
Our Indian education system faces a lot of diplomacies that do not let it prosper and help our children succeed in life. The biggest problem it faces is the flawed and biased grading system. It judges a student's intelligence based on academics, which is in the form of pen and paper examinations. That is unfair to students who are much better in their overall performance but not that good in specific subjects.
Moreover, the students only strive to get good marks, not understanding what is being taught. In other words, this encourages getting good marks through mugging up answers and not grasping the concept efficiently and understanding them.
Furthermore, we see how the Indian education system focuses on theory-based education more. Only a small percentage is given for practical knowledge. This makes students run after the bookish knowledge and not apply their learnings to the real world. This rote memory practice makes them perplexed when they go out in the real world due to a lack of field knowledge.
Most importantly, the education system in India does not emphasize the importance of sports, music, culture and arts. Instead, students are always asked to study all the time by keeping their hobbies aside where they get no time for other activities in which they are good.
