Rajkot, May 26th, 2021: Furthering its commitment to holistic, global-level education, Marwadi University (MU) has collaborated with leading foreign universities and educational organizations. A Dual-Degree Programme in collaboration with the University of Dunaujvaros, Hungary, and the University of Rhode Island, USA is on offer. Additionally, under the initiation of its Faculty of Computer Applications, Marwadi University has also signed MOUโs with MIT Square, ICT Academy, and Aspire Academic - SkillsAGE Foundation, in order up-skill both its students and faculty alike.
While pursuing the dual degree programme, students can enroll for their BBA/B.Com degree at MU, and pursue a Business Administration and Management BA from the University of Dunaujvaros, post completion of their course work in India. The programme requires students to study for 3 years (6 semesters) at Marwadi University campus and thereafter continue their study for 1 year (2 semesters) at the collaborating university. With a clear advantage on course duration as well as benefit of having degree from India and Hungary, the dual-degree programme qualifies students for Masters Programmes within the European Union, as well as easing application for work permits and scholarships within the EU. Applications for the programme are open till 30th July, 2021.
Commenting on the collaboration, Prof. (Dr) Sandeep Sancheti - Provost, Marwadi University said, "The students who enrol in this programme will not only garner global experience and enrich their professional portfolio, but also gain an extra edge when they apply for a masterโs degree in any university. Such dual-degree credentials add credit to their mark sheet, but also ensure admissions in reputed institutions with this added advantage. The MOUs and collaborations will benefit the giver and the receiver both, and open new avenues for innovation, employment, and prosperity."
Additional MOUโs include the association with MIT Square, a premier product development company based in Bangalore, with expertise in incubation, investment strategy, talent enablement, R&D and intellectual property. This will benefit both students and faculty alike via training and learning activities, joint and articulated degree programmes, joint workshops, conferences and seminars, value-added certification courses, faculty and student development programmes, and faculty and student exchange programmes.
The MoU with ICT Academy includes benefits like digital knowledge series for educators, virtual online FDP for faculty, virtual power seminars for students, various academic alliances, and establishment of Centres of Excellence.
In collaboration with the Aspire Academic - SkillsAGE Foundation, MU will be offering online training and certification in cutting-edge technologies, affiliated to IIT (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. This association will also encourage the establishment of an authorized training centre at the University to impart IIT/IIM-affiliated courses and joint certificate programmes for the benefit of students.
