New Delhi, February 05, 2021: The 12th edition of XENIA, the popular annual cultural college festival organized by the New Delhi based Indian School of Business and Finance (ISBF), will be a completely online event for the first time since its inception in 2009. Among the many firsts, XENIA 2021, scheduled on February 12-13, 2021, will also see international participation this time from students from Canada and Botswana, namely University of Saskatchewan and Botswana Accountancy College, apart from more than 10 Indian cities featuring the top colleges of Delhi University (DU) being represented.
In keeping with its growing popularity as a must-attend among the University circles, XENIA 2021 has more than doubled its participation from last time, with more than 1000+ registrations already received from 65+ colleges. The figure was 600 and 35 respectively, last time around.
In keeping with the times, the theme of this year’s XENIA has been aptly kept as “Disconnect to Connect”. It basically aims at reminding students about how important it is in life to unplugg to unwind; tuning out to tune in; and disconnecting from their day to day mundane activities and chores once in a while to connect with each other on the finer aspects of life.
A total of 16 solo and team competitions, bringing out different facets of an individual’s talent, are lined up across the two days, with most being streamed online via Zoom. There are a total of 48 prizes to be won across the 16 events as well as INR 2 lakh as prize money, up for grabs.
Commenting on the upcoming festival, Dr. G.L.Tayal, Dean, ISBF, said, “XENIA is the pride of ISBF and it is indeed heartening to see that it is growing in popularity with every passing year. We are overwhelmed by the response received for XENIA 2021 and are proud of what our students have achieved to get this far. All credit goes to them and the teachers. On behalf of ISBF, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all participants and wish them all the very best. It will indeed be a privilege to see a plethora of young talent, the world’s future, showcase their skills in an informal yet competitive environment.”

About ISBF
ISBF was founded in 2006 with the vision of delivering world-class education in India. Through its partnerships with global giants like the University of London, The London School of Economics and Political Science and Kingston University, ISBF ensures that students receive a rigorous, application-oriented and global education, which is relevant to local needs.
Many of them transfer to foreign universities in their second year of undergraduate study, go on to prestigious institutions for higher study, or secure placements in India or overseas with leading multinational corporations.
ISBF students are taught by an expert and highly qualified group of faculty members and also see deep engagement from partnering universities, who train ISBF’s teachers as well as conduct classes for students. On the LSE led programmes, ISBF students study the same curriculum and are held to the same standards as LSE students, with the programmes culminating into a University of London degree at a fraction of the cost.
Today, ISBF is one of LSE’s top five Teaching Institutions in the world, and also enjoys the University of London’s Affiliate Centre status, the highest recognition accorded to teaching institutions by the university.
In the Academic Year 2020-2021, ISBF has initiated the Business Management (Honors) undergraduate programme in partnership with Kingston University. Students of this programme are full-fledged Kingston University students who necessarily transfer to KU in the third year and graduate in London. They receive all the same benefits as international students studying at Kingston University including hostel accommodation, 2-year work VISA and other career related benefits. The programme also offers an optional year-long internship anywhere in the world. Students complete this programme at less than half the cost at ISBF.
