Khakee' pair Karthi and Rakul Preet collaborated for another movie titled as 'Dev'. Touted to be a action adventure film, this project was helmed by Rajath Ravishankar. The film has been making a release buzz and the trailer of the movie also received a positive response from the audience. It has been a very long time since Rakul Preet appeared on the Telugu silver displays as a heroine. The movie has hit the screens in the Tamil and Telugu languages on the occasion of Valentine's Day February 14th, 2019. Here is the review of the movie.
The story of Dev Movie
Dev is a zero although fashionable substance film that attempts to be a love story. First minutes of the films give the impression we are just about to watch a film. But, soon the audience wishful thinking shatters. Introduction director Rajath Ravishankar struggles to commemorate the movie in an engaging way after taking off promisingly. The characterizations lack particularly for the hero.
The director has included all wishful ideas to the Dev personality that's a photographer, biker, nature lover and mountaineer who climbs Mount Everest, civil architect, lover boy and what not. Similarly, a self-driven woman, who has been increased in the USA, who became the owner of a product company by age of 25, behaves like a standard filmy woman in her India trip. The love story between Meghna and Dev is bland, lacks some conflict point. Prakashraj character is just another sad part of the film. During the film, he stares at his son Dev with love, says"Ninnu chusthunte mee amma gurthukuvastondhira"dialog repeatedly. Ramyakrishna(heroine's mother) has no role in the event. Following a first half, the second half goes directionless.
There are many tunes but the audience might not recall one from the time they depart. However, the background score is good. Cinematography, Background rating, Locations etc Technical worth are superior The first half of the film introduces the behavior of the character and the principal story runs just in the second half. There's increasingly more love together with the conflicts which appear, drama, melodrama and eventually resulted in the orgasm! The performances from the
actors is a plus for the movie. The audio too high the film's mood and subject. A perfect movie for Valentine's day but everyone may not enjoy the movie.
Performances: Karthi and Rakul are fine, Ramya Krishna & Prakash Raj's acting abilities are unutilized. R J Vignesh and with the hero's friend function which got more screen time than the hero played with. His personality is annoying. Amrutha Srinivasan is okay as the hero's buddy
