  • The aspirants must be an Indian Citizen
  • The candidates be a subject of Nepal/Bhutan
  • The aspirants are Tibetan refugees who moved to India, before 1962, intending to settle down permanently in India.
  • The applicant must be a Person of Indian Origin who has moved to India from Burma, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam intending to settle down permanently in India.
Educational Qualification

Statistical Investigator Grade II
Basic Qualification: Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at Higher Secondary (12th or equivalent) level OR Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

Assistant Audit Officer
Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute

Additional Qualification: Cost & Management Accountant/ Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary/ Masters in Commerce/ Business Studies/ Business Administration (Finance)/ Business Economics.

Compiler
Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or Institution. Additionally, candidates must have studied either Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory or elective subject.

Assistant Section Officer (CSS)
Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute

Additional Qualification: In addition to the basic Undergraduate Degree, candidates must also qualify in the Computer Proficiency Test.

Age Limit

  • Aspirants applying for SSC CGL must not be less than 18 years and cannot be more than 32 years of age (as of August 1, 2024).
  • The lower and upper limit of age varies for each post.
  • The age of candidates as present in the 10th/12th certificates will be considered.

2024 Online Application

Candidates are required to apply online to register themself for SSC CGL 2024 exam. As 31stst January 2024 will be the last day to apply for SSC CGL 2024 Exam, so candidates are required to fill the online application form before 31stst January 2024 (11:30 PM).

Preparation

Revision is the key

Candidates must ensure that there is ample time left for revision after they have finished preparing for the exam based on the syllabus. Revision help candidates recollect the topics required from each section for the exam.

A. SSC CGL 2024 Tier-2 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 28th and 29th January 2024.

Q. Are students in the final year of graduation also eligible for SSC CGL?

A. No. One cannot apply for the SSC CGL Exam if he/she hasn’t cleared the final year exam . For all the posts offered through SSC CGL exam, it is mandatory to be a graduate.

Q. May I know for which post interviews are conducted as a part of the selection procedure?

A. There are no interviews for any of the posts under SSC CGL Recruitment. The para 9.2 of the official notification for SSC CGL Recruitment 2024 clearly states that – “9.2 Interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview.”

Q. Is negative marking applicable in SSC CGL?

A. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In Tier-II, there is a negative marking system of 0.25 for each wrong answer in paper II - English Language & Comprehension And 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier II.
