REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher) or RTET (Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state-level examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan annually for the recruitment of primary and upper primary teachers.
The full form of REET is Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers. For the qualified candidates, the exam conducting body will issue a pass certificate. Eligibility Criteria 2023
The eligibility criteria of the REET 2023 exam have been released along with the REET 2023 notification. As per the REET eligibility criteria released in the official notification, candidates must be above 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit for the REET exam.
For Primary Teachers, candidates are required to have Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks along with appearing or passed in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation along with appearing or passed in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education to apply.
For Upper Primary Teachers, candidates are required to complete Graduation with at least 50% marks and pass or appear in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) or equivalent qualification to apply.
Exam Application
The candidates can apply for the REET exam online through the official website of the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. Candidates are required to fill in the required details, fill out their preferred exam centers and pay the application fee.

Admit Card 2023
Candidates will be able to download the call letter for the REET 2023 written test from April 14, 2023, on the official website.
Candidates failing to download and carry the REET Admit Card on the exam day will be denied entry to the examination hall.

Exam Pattern-
REET or REET follows a particular exam pattern every year. The REET 2023 Exam Pattern is divided into two levels. While Level-II is for primary teachers or Teachers for classes 1 to 5, Level-II is for upper primary teachers or classes 6 to 8.

Selection Process
For a candidate, to clear RTET has to go through the following stages of the selection process:
- RTET Application form: Candidates first need to fill the online RTET application form on the official website of BSER. After providing all details during the online application, candidates need to pay the RTET application fee online.
- RTET Admit card: RTET admit card will be released one week before the examination, candidates can download their RTET admit card from the official website of BSER. The admit card contains all important details regarding the exam such as date, time, and test center address.
- RTET or REET exam: The state-level REET exam is conducted for the recruitment of primary teachers (Level I) and upper primary teachers (Level II). Level I recruits teachers for classes 1-5 and Level II recruits teachers for classes 6-8.
Results:
Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan will release the result of the REET 2023 written test for both levels - Level 1and 2. To download the result candidates need to enter the login credentials i.e. roll number and date of birth.

Salary
- The expected salary of REET qualifiers will be INR 23,700/- as a 3rd Grade teacher. After the confirmation of the recruitment, the teachers will receive the salary as per the 10th Level in the pay matrix.
- There will be 2 years of a probationary period. During this time, the basic pay salary is given to the candidate without any allowances.
- After the confirmation, the teachers will be entitled to several allowances such as Travelling Allowances, Living Adjustment, Dearness Allowance (DA), Bonus, and Urban damage supply.
