Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates must check the KSET Eligibility criteria 2024 before applying for the examination. KSET Eligibility details as per the latest notification are mentioned below. Please note the KSET age eligibility criteria and educational qualification.

Applicants who belong to any other state except Karnataka and in the reserved category (SC, ST & Other Backward Classes) shall be treated as General.

KSET Age Limit

As per the KSET official notification pdf, there is no upper age limit to be eligible for KSET Exam 2024.

KSET Educational Qualification

As per the KSET eligibility 2024, the candidates must have a master’s degree or the equivalent from a UGC-recognized university or institution. The minimum marks required to be eligible varies as per the reserved category. The details are mentioned below.

  • Applicants who are pursuing their Master's Degree may also apply for the KSET 2024 Exam conditionally that they must submit the proof of passing the Master’s degree with minimum required marks within two years of the KSET Result.
  • Candidates may only take the KSET exam in the subject of their post-graduation. The list of the KSET Subjects is mentioned below.
  • If you hold a Ph. D. degree, and Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1992 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result), you shall be eligible for a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%).
  • Also, note that candidates who became eligible in the previous KSET Exam are not eligible to apply again in the same subject.

Note: The application fee for KSET 2024 can only be made online and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Admit Card

  • KSET Admit Card 2024 has already been released. The KSET admit card shall contain all the relevant information about the exam such as personal details, roll no, exam test center, and the subject of your examination. The applicants are supposed to carry a photo identity card along with their admit card printout on the examination day. No one will be allowed to appear in the exam without the admit card.
  • Candidates who have obtained their admit card for the April 11th examination are not required to do so again. They will be allowed to take the exam on July 25, 2024, using the same KSET hall ticket.

Exam Pattern

KSET Exam question paper pattern will be held offline(pen-and-paper test). The questions will be objective type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) format and candidates are required to answer on the OMR sheets provided with the question booklet.

Selection Process

  • As per the KSET Selection Process 2024, the number of applicants to be qualified Assistant Professors shall be 6% of the total candidates who appeared in both the papers of KSET 2024. The selection procedure for KSET 2024 i.e. candidates to be selected as Assistant Professor is given below:
  • The total minimum Aggregate Marks (of both Paper I & Paper II) required is 40% for the General Category and 35% for the Reserved Category. (Reserved Category- SC / ST/ CAT-I / II A/ II B / III A / III B / PWD )
  • For the candidates who secure the minimum marks, a subject-wise and category-wise merit list will be prepared.
  • After the merit list, as per the reservation policy number of slots both subject-wise and category-wise will be declared.

Result

The KSET 2024 exam was conducted on July 25th, and the result will be out soon.

Cut-off

Candidates will get the information regarding the counseling schedule after the exam declaration. As per the scorecard or merit list candidates will be selected for the posts. Reserved candidates will get relaxation in the cut-off list. If we talk about the Eligibility criteria to apply for the KSET exam, candidates must have a master’s degree from a recognized institution and Reserve candidates with 50% minimum marks, and general candidates with 55% minimum marks can apply for the KSET exam.

NOTE: The result will be available only on the official website and online mode. No other website or mode is available to check the KSET Result 2024.

Salary

Assistant Professors selected for the state of Karnataka through KSET 2024 receive a monthly salary in the range of Rs. 25,000/- to 40,000/- in the beginning. The pay is dependent on the scores and colleges.
