This year the department has announced more than 9000 vacancies and will soon release the notification for the dates of the exams.
Dates
The Karnataka police have declared the tentative date for the written examination. The candidates who submitted their applications will now be able to download their admit cards through the official website of Karnataka Police.

Karnataka Police Written Exam Paper Pattern for Prelims
- The exam has two papers with a total of 200 questions.
- The total duration of both papers is 90 minutes.
- Both papers contain a total of 200 marks.
- The questions are both descriptive and objective.
- The papers have a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
- Paper 1 is a language paper (English/Kannada) and descriptive in nature.
