Eligibility

There are certain conditions like minimum educational qualification, age criteria, physical standards, and others that must be fulfilled in order to be eligible for Jharkhand Police 2024. The specifications of the criteria differ from post to post which are listed below:

Minimum Educational Qualification

Inspector of Police Graduation or Equivalent qualification from a recognized University; minimum qualifying marks
Sub Inspector of Police Graduation degree from any recognized university; minimum aggregate marks required
Superintendent of Police Graduation from any recognized University

Senior Constable Should have completed 10+2 (senior secondary) from any recognized University or board
Head Constable Must have completed the 12th from a recognized board

Applications

The Jharkhand police offer two modes of application to its aspiring candidates- Online and Offline. The specifications about the way of applying will be mentioned in the official notification by the Jharkhand Department of Police Recruitment. Steps - Application Form – Online
  • Go to the official website of Jharkhand Police https://www.jhpolice.gov.in/.
  • On the Home screen, under the Citizen Services section, click on the Recruitments.
  • From the list of notices, select the notification that concerns you. Read it carefully.
  • Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link, then on the Application Registration tab.
  • Fill up your details and submit it.
  • Upload the required documents like photos, signatures, etc., and save them.
  • Select the payment option for the application fee. Submit the fees. The application process is completed after the payment.
  • You can save the transaction id for future references. And, take out a printout of the submitted application form for further correspondence.
Steps - Application Form - Offline
  • Go to the official website of Jharkhand Police https://www.jhpolice.gov.in/.
  • On the Homepage of the website, click on the Citizens Services section.
  • Then open the Recruitments tab, and find the notification that concerns your aspiring post.
  • After reading the advertisement carefully, scroll down to find ‘Download Application’.
  • Take the print of the Application Form, and fill in the details carefully.
  • Attach the required documents with the form and send them in an envelope to authorities.

Required Documents for Verification:

There is a list of documents that are required by the Recruitment body during the final selection process for verification purposes. These documents can be broadly categorized into two kinds:

Admit Card

Admit card is the most important document throughout the whole process of Jharkhand Police recruitment. It contains important information like the candidates’ name, allotted exam center, examination roll number, exam date, and the timings, and instructions by the testing agency.

How to Download Jharkhand Police Admit Card 2024?

The release of the Jharkhand Police 2024 Admit card will be notified on the official website of the Department. The candidates can go on the website and download their admit card and check all the details given on it. Medical Exam Pattern

The candidates who clear the Written Examination and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be called in for Medical Examination. The medical test consists of a detailed examination of the candidate’s body- like eyes, ears, an x-ray of limbs, and many more. It is very important for the police force to be physically and mentally fit and fine, that is why medical screening is conducted.

General Studies

In the General Studies paper, a candidate’s level of general awareness about Indian society, politics, environment, culture, and economy. The topics under the Mental Ability Test range from verbal to non-verbal reasoning ability. The sub-sections include questions on jumbled paragraphs, summary questioning, logical reasoning, data interpretation, analogies, arithmetic numeric series, figure classifications, and similar topics.

Knowledge of Computer Basics

In this paper, basic knowledge about computer awareness like computer systems, data communication, operating systems, the internet, and networking will be asked.

Language/ Grammar Test

In the Language paper, the basic comprehension, and articulation skills of the candidates will be checked in Hindi or English Language. To tackle this paper, read a lot of good newspapers in the relevant language to conquer the grammar.

Regional or Tribal Language Test

In this Regional Language or Tribal Language test, a candidate needs to choose one language among the many options offered by the Jharkhand Police Recruitment body. The languages from which a candidate has to make a choice are given below:
