Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to clear the minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the Indian Coast Guard Navik exam.

Educational Qualification: The candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% in 10+2 with maths and physics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.

Relaxation

5% relaxation for SC/ST category and students who have outstanding achievements in sports events.

Exam pattern for written examination

Physical fitness examination

The Candidates should come in comfortable clothes during the Physical Fitness Testsuch as Shoe, T-shirt, Trouser, etc. to avoid exhaustion and be comfortable

  • The candidates qualified in the written examination of Indian Coast Guard Navik will be eligible for a Physical Fitness
  • Test that is conducted for two consecutive days.
  • Physically challenged applicants are not allowed to appear in the Physical fitness examination exam as per rules and regulations
  • Physical FitnessTest will have the following parameters for selection-

    • 6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
    • 20 Squat ups
    • 10 Push-ups

Salary Details 2024

  • After joining, the Indian Coast Guard Navik salary is Rs 21700 (Pay Level-3) basic plus DA and other allowances (based on nature of duty/location of posting).
  • A Navik is entitled to get free ration, clothing, medical treatment, government accommodation for self and family on a nominal rate, canteen, and various loan facilities excluding the basic pay and allowances.
