IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Result 2023 is out now. The Office Assistant exam was conducted on 8th and 14th August 2023 and the Officer Scale-I prelims examination was conducted on 1st and 7th August 2023.

The candidates must have to complete the following eligibility criteria to apply for IBPS RRB 2023. The eligibility includes education qualification, age limit, and experience, which has been detailed here.

IBPS RRB Age Limit (as on 01st June 2023)

For Officer Scale- III- Candidates should be above 21 years and below 40 years.

For Officer Scale-II- Candidates should be above 21 years and below 32 years.

The online application link for IBPS RRB 2023 exam was active from 08th June 2023 @ibps.in. The last date to apply online was 28th June 2023 for IBPS RRB Office Assistant, and Officer Scale I, II, & III 2023.

Exam pattern

  • For IBPSC RRB Clerk, there will be two stages of Exam- Prelims & Mains
  • For IBPS PO or Officer Scale I, there will be three stages of Exam- Prelims, Mains & Interview
  • For IBPS Officer Grade-II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) and III, there will be a single-window exam- IBPS Officer Grade II Exam & Interview
  • For all the posts of IBPS RRB, the candidates have to pass each stage of the Exam for their successful selection.

IBPS RRB Officer Grade Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Exam is conducted in 3 different phases:

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Interview Process

The IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam for Mains will be of a total of 200 marks of 2 hours. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II Exam Pattern

There will be a single-level exam for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II Post. Selection will be made. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the Online Single examination to be considered to be shortlisted for an interview.

Depending on the number of vacancies available, the adequate number of candidates in each category not exceeding three times the declared vacancies shall be called for interview, subject to availability. Before the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for the interview.

Job Profile

  • The day to day banking activities: The RRB officer has to perform all the day to day activities that a commercial bank officer performs. The officer has to handle the books of the banks, helps the customers, make the public relationship, help the other co-workers, manage cash book, etc.
  • Felicitation of Loan: To provide credit facility to the rural areas. The officer has to provide the agriculture loan to the farmers after evaluating their papers and documents. The RRB banks were established to give banking facility to the rural people and grant agricultural loans to the farmers and to eliminate the zamindar system.
  • Maintaining Credit Profile: The duty of the RRB officer begins from the distribution of loan. The officer has to be cautious in this role since most of the agriculture loans and loans to allied sectors turn into NPA very soon if you do not monitor them properly. The officer needs to regularly visit the loan taker and examine their capacity to pay back the loan.
  • Adhere to the recovery of the loan: The officer had to maintain the books of loan takers and remind them regarding the due payment. They need to visit customers and ask them to clear their dues. But if they fail to return the money, then the officer has to find alternative options. The officer can auction the mortgaged properties of the customers to recover the money of loan.
  • Establish and maintain Public relationship: The officer has to maintain good relations with the public. The public of the RRB banks in rural and less educated people, so the officer should conduct different methods to engulf them in the bank. The loan meal should be conducted by the officer to explain different loan schemes to the farmers and the benefits of the activities should be explained to them. The one to one communication helps in making the relationship between the public and bank.
  • Maintain audit report: The officer has to evaluate the bank’s annual balance sheet and access the annual reports of the bank. The officer has to maintain the audit report of the financial year and telly with the last year report.
  • Prepare Bank reports: The officer of the bank has to prepare a report of the day to day banking activities and share it with other higher authorities. The officer provides different information to the higher authorities about the local financial conditions and the facilities required to them.
  • The Implementation of schemes: The officer has the duty to maintain the schemes issued by the government. The government issued different schemes for the uplifting of the rural area and it’s the RRB officer duty to implement these schemes in his branch area
