IB ACIO (Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer) is a graduation-level examination. The examination is conducted under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). IB ACIO (Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer) is a high salaried post in addition to other allowances that are provided by the Government of India. Earlier IB was under the control of internal and external intelligence of the country. But later it was split into two different organizations - Intelligence Bureau and Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW).

The IB ACIO Grade-II/ Executive Exams 2021 Official Notification has been released on the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on 18th December 2020 to recruit 2000 vacancies of ACIO Grade-II/ Executive in the Intelligence Bureau. Eligibility
- The candidate should be an Indian citizen
- Candidates should have completed their graduation with any stream from a recognized university.

Exam Pattern
- The examination is conducted in three different stages.
- The first stage is a written test which is a total of 100 marks.
- It is an MCQ-based paper.
- The paper is divided into four sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Ability, and English Language.
- The time allotted for the first stage is 60 minutes.
- The second stage is the essay writing and comprehension test. It is a descriptive paper.
- The paper is divided into two sections: essay writing and comprehension and précis writing.
- The essay consists of 30 marks while comprehension and précis writing consists of 20 marks making a total of 50.
- The time allotted to the candidates in Stage 2 is 60 minutes.
- The third and final stage is the personal interview. It is a total of 100 marks. This stage judges the personality of the candidate based on the parameters like intelligence, awareness, and knowledge.

Syllabus

Selection Process
The candidates who apply for the IB ACIO examination have to appear for the first tier of the examination. The minimum cut-off for different categories is prescribed by the authority. Candidates must achieve the minimum cut-off marks to get selected for the second round.
