Notification

The IB ACIO Grade-II/ Executive Exams 2021 Official Notification has been released on the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on 18th December 2020 to recruit 2000 vacancies of ACIO Grade-II/ Executive in the Intelligence Bureau. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) recruitment exams are announced on the website of the Home Ministry.

Vacancy

MHA has announced vacancies for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/ Executive in the Intelligence Bureau.

Eligibility

• The candidate should be an Indian citizen
• Candidates should have completed their graduation with any stream from a recognized university.
• Candidates should have basic knowledge about computers.
• The age limit of the candidate should range between 18-27 years.
• Relaxation:
• Relaxation on the upper limit is given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories -
  A relaxation of 5 years is given to the candidates belonging to SC (scheduled caste) and ST (scheduled tribes) categories.
  A relaxation of 3 years is given to the candidates belonging to OBC (Other Backward Class).

Applications

The application process for filing the form of IB ACIO is divided into two parts. The first part is filing the form while the other one is fee payment. Candidates are required to fill the form through an online mode.

• Fill in the details for Application form Part 1.
• The application fee for general and OBC candidates is INR 100. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste (SC) and Scheduled tribes (ST) category are exempted from paying the application fees.
• Upload all the documents as per instructions.
• Make fee payment

Admit Card

Candidates can download IB ACIO admit card, 2021 through an online mode. It is released separately for tier 1, tier 2, and the interview round by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Candidates are first required to log in with their registration ID and password to download the admit card. The details of the IB ACIO 2021 admit card for different tiers are given below -

• The candidates who have filled the IB ACIO application form after fulfilling the eligibility criteria are issued the admit card for Tier 1.
• Only those candidates are issued the admit card for Tier 2 who have qualified for the prelims examination.
• Candidates qualifying Tier 2 I. e the Mains Examination are issued the admit card for the interview round.

• Go to the official website of the IB ACIO (Ministry of Home Affairs).
• Click on the Admit Card Link.
• Enter your registration ID and password.
• Download the admit card.
• Take out a printout of your admit card.
• The admit card is a very essential document without which you are not allowed to take your examination. It contains details like exam date, the timing of examination, exam city and center along with all the personal details of the candidates.

Exam Pattern

• The examination is conducted in three different stages.
• The first stage is a written test which is a total of 100 marks.
• It is an MCQ-based paper.
• The paper is divided into four sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Ability, and English Language.
• The time allotted for the first stage is 60 minutes.
• The second stage is the essay writing and comprehension test. It is a descriptive paper.
• The paper is divided into two sections: essay writing and comprehension and précis writing.
• The essay consists of 30 marks while comprehension and précis writing consists of 20 marks making a total of 50.
• The time allotted to the candidates in Stage 2 is 60 minutes.
• The third and final stage is the personal interview. It is a total of 100 marks. This stage judges the personality of the candidate based on the parameters like intelligence, awareness, and knowledge.

Syllabus

IB ACIO Syllabus contains vast content. It covers a wide range of subjects in different fields. Stage 1 covers General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Ability, and English Language while stage 2 is descriptive in nature and covers essay, comprehension, and précis writing. The details of the syllabus of different stages are given below:

Selection Process

The candidates who apply for the IB ACIO examination have to appear for the first tier of the examination. The minimum cut-off for different categories is prescribed by the authority. Candidates must achieve the minimum cut-off marks to get selected for the second round.
Only those candidates are called for Tier 2, who qualify for the preliminary round.

The performance of the candidates in Tier 1 and 2 is taken into consideration for shortlisting them for the interview round.
Based on the overall performance, the merit list is prepared.

IB ACIO Result for the year 2020 is yet to be declared. The result will be declared separately for different stages at the official website.
