BARC has released the online application forms on the official website from July 12, 2021. The interested candidates have to register on or before August 07, 2021. However, the registered candidates can fill the BARC application forms till August 09, 2021. It is advised that the interested candidates go through the following details of the exam before applying.

BARC Recruitment 2021 Exam is a golden opportunity for Engineering and Science graduates. Both men and women are eligible to apply for this exam. The candidates will be selected based on an Interview for BARC Medical/ Scientific Officer and Technical Officer. The performance of the aspirants in the GATE Exam will also be considered while shortlisting them. Shortlisted candidates will be trained at different schools of BARC situated in different locations.

BARC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
All candidates who are applying for BARC 2021 must be citizens of India. There are other eligibility criteria as well which will be specified by the authorities as follows:
Educational Qualification
- To qualify as a Medical/ Scientific Officer-D, candidates must hold an MD / M.S./ DNB, M.D.S. degree for the post of Medical/ Scientific Officer-D as per the discipline for which they are applying.
- To qualify as a Medical /Scientific Officer-C, MBBS with one-year institutional experience where the mandatory internship will not be counted as experience.
- To qualify as a Technical Officer-C, M.Sc, B.E., B. E. / B. Tech. with ≥ 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.
- To apply for Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA & QC, code 32), the candidate must have completed B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering with at least 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree.
- If you are interested in Fast Reactor Technology-E (FRT-E, code 31) then you must hold a degree B.E. /B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering with at least 60%* aggregate marks in the qualifying degree.
- Those who apply for Fast Reactor Technology-M (FRT-M, code 30) must have done B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.(Engineering)/5-year Integrated M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with at least 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree.
Age Limit
- Medical/ Scientific Officer/D: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 40 Years.
- Medical /Scientific Officer-C: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 35 Years.
- Technical Officer-C: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum NA

BARC Recruitment Online Application Process
The steps to apply for BARC Group A Recruitment 2021 is given below:
Part I: Registration
- The candidates are to first click on the link that is given below.
- Enter the details asked for.
- A provisional registration number and password will be sent on the registered Email ID and Mobile number.
Part II: Log In
- On receiving the registration no. and password, log in to complete the application procedure.
- Fill up the personal, academic details, and communication details correctly.
- Upload the photograph & signature.
- Upload the required documents in the correct format.
- Verify the details entered in the form before paying the application fee.
- After verification, pay the required application fee.
- The Application form will be accepted provisionally after you have paid the application fee.
- Save and take a printout of the application form for future purposes.
BARC Recruitment Admit Card
BARC 2021 Admit Card will be released on the official website of the Bhabha Atomic Research Center 10 -15 days before the exam date. The BARC Exam 2021 is specially conducted for the recruitment of Medical/Scientific Officers and Technical Officer.
Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) invites application through online mode for recruitment of Trainee Scientific Officer (TSO) for the 2021-22 academic session of BARC Training School through their separate Online Examination or GATE 2020/2019 score for Engineering and Science stream.
Along with the Admit card, candidates are required to bring other documents such as A valid photo ID proof (e.g. Passport, Driving License, Aadhar, Voter ID Card, ID Card issued by the Candidate's college), Original 10th Mark sheet (or equivalent) and Category Certificate of the relevant categories for the screening test and Interview.
BARC Recruitment Exam Pattern
BARC Exam will follow a similar examination pattern as of GATE 2021 exam. Here we list some important points related to the BARC Exam Pattern.
- BARC Exam will be conducted in online mode
- Online Examination contains only multiple-choice questions (objective type)
- Paper consists of a total of 100 Questions
- The total duration of the exam is 2 Hours
- Each question carries 3 marks
- 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer (Negative Marking)
- Physical calculators are not allowed in the BARC exam, however, virtual calculators will be available on your terminal.
BARC Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process of BARC consists of two important stages- the online examination and the Interview. The candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on their performance in the online examination. Sometimes, in particular situations, the candidates are also judged based on their scores in GATe. The details of each of them are given below.
Based on Online Examination
Online Examination will be conducted in September 2021 in each of the nine Engineering disciplines and five Science disciplines in more than forty cities spread across India.
Travel Allowance is not paid for appearing in it.
Candidates who register for the Online Examination will be able to choose their examination centers as well as the date and time of the session in which they wish to appear for the Online Examination, subject to availability. Allocation of the slot to candidates for taking the Online Examination will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
Based on the GATE Score
Applicants shortlisted for the Interview process based on a valid GATE 2021 score in the applicable GATE subject. Applicants with a degree in ‘Nuclear Engineering’ will be screened only based on Online Examination to be conducted in September 2021.
Based on Interview
Selection Interviews of short-listed candidates will be conducted in Mumbai (in all disciplines except Geology and Geophysics) and Hyderabad (in Geology and Geophysics). Outstation applicants will be paid two-way second-class sleeper train fare, from their registered residential address, by shortest route or actual fare whichever is less. The Selection Interviews are going to be conducted between October 04 and 29, 2021. The Final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the Interview.
BARC Recruitment Results
After the screening test, the candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the screening test and are called for the Interview. After selection candidates should book their interview slot by logging into their account. The selected candidates will be called for an interview at the given location. The final list of Selected candidates for OCES/DGFS – 2021 (Scientific Officer) will be released shortly after the online screening test and interview.
Thousands of candidates appeared for the BARC exam but some of them are shortlisted for the interview process based on BARC Scientific Officer Cutoff. The results will be declared in the form of a merit list. Candidates can also see their results by logging into their accounts.
