By order of the presidential director of the Russian Academy of the Presidential Service of the Russian Federation dated 08. 01. 01, 1998 No. 2, in agreement with the Ministry of General and Professional Education of the Russian Federation and the Administration of the Tver Region, a branch of the North-Western Academy of State Service in the city of Tver was created.Initially, the tasks of the branch of the SAM in the city of Tver were: preparation, retraining and advanced training of the region’s officials.Later, the training of specialists in three areas of higher vocational education in absentee form of training: “finances and credit” (economist qualification), “state and municipal administration” (qualification manager), “social work” (qualification of social work).Over the past years, more than 5,000 highly qualified specialists of the branch have been prepared annually from the walls of the Tver branch of the Academy in various areas and forms of training of about 800 people, most of which work in state and municipal authorities.In the structure of students in a branch of state and municipal employees, about 1/4 belongs to the category of managers.The branch successfully performs the functions of the basic educational site for compulsory professional retraining and advanced training of both state and municipal employees of the Tver region and employees of regional branches of federal bodies of state power.In 2011, the transformation stage ended, as a result of which a new higher educational institution was created by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA).This structure has become the largest platform for training managerial personnel of the highest category, the largest university in Russia.It included the Academy of the National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of the Presidential Service of the President of the Russian Federation and the regional Academy of Public Service.
