GD Constable in Assam Rifles
- They are recruited to provide internal security under the control of the army through the conduct of counter insurgency and border security operations,
- GD Constable in Assam Rifles provides aid to the civil power in an emergency, communications, medical assistance, and education in remote areas.
- GD Constable in Assam Rifles works as a combat force to secure rear areas if needed in times of war.
GD Constable in BSF
- They are required to protect the Indo- Pakistan, and Indo- Bangladesh Border.
- SSC GD Constables are recruited to promote a sense of security among the people living in the border areas.
- Their role is to prevent trans-border crimes, unauthorized entry into or exit from the territory of India.
- They are responsible for preventing smuggling or any other illegal activities on the Border.
- They have to collect trans-border intelligence and have to carry anti-infiltration duties.
SSC GD Salary
The initial salary of a General Duty Constable is Rs. 23,527 per month and the starting basic pay of Constable is Rs. 21,700. The maximum basic pay for SSC GD Constable can reach up to Rs. 69,100.
