The PPSC stands for Punjab Public Service Commission. There are different exams that the commission conducts to recruit applicants in the offices of the state of Punjab. All the PPSC examinations are competitive in nature and require well-planned preparation and strategies to be able to excel in them.
The Punjab Public Service Commission viz. PPSC has announced the result for the Punjab Civil Services exams on its official website expected soon. The Preliminary exam was conducted in April and the Mains was conducted in Soon.
With the Civil Services Mains exam result, the PPSC has also released the result of the physical test conducted for Deputy Superintendent of Police/ Deputy Superintendent of Jail (Grade 2)/ District Probation Officer (Jails).
PPSC Latest Updates:
- Punjab Civil Services (PCS) Mains Examination 2026 is confirmed to proceed from April 1 to April 10, 2026.
- Admit Cards: Roll numbers and admit cards are expected to be issued in the last week of March 2026.
- The notification for the next recruitment cycle is tentatively expected in October 2026.
- For the Group D exam (April 5), admit cards are expected to be released between March 26 and March 29, 2026.

PPSC Eligibility Criteria
TThe PPSC has released the eligibility criteria for all the examinations along with the respective official notifications. Here are some of the criteria mentioned for the applicants to check. However, the candidates must go through the detailed eligibility criteria for their respective posts before applying for any of them.
Nationality
To be a qualified successful candidate to appear for the examination a candidate must possess any of the nationality given below.

- Citizen of India
- Citizen of Nepal
- Citizen of Bhutan
- A refugee from Tibet, China who arrived in India before January 1962 and is a permanent resident of India.
- An Indian origin person who migrated from Pakistan, Sir Lanka, united republic of Tanzania, African countries and is settled or interested in settling in India.
Age Criteria
The PPSC has mentioned a certain age- limit for the PPCS exam. An aspirant with the age between 21 and 37 years can apply for the examination. However, the age limit and relaxation vary as per the category of a candidate.

PPSC Application Process
Even though the application forms are not yet available, the applicants must know the steps to fill them. The detailed instructions to apply online for the Punjab Public Service Commission 2026 are given below.
- Go to the official website at https://www.ppsc.gov.in/.
- Find the notification recruitment and click on it.
- Click on the โApply Onlineโ button
- Enter a valid email-id and a phone number to register successfully.
- After registration, fill the application form.
- Upload scanned passport-sized photograph and a signature with size, not more than 40KB.
- After filling in all the credentials, youโll be directed to the payment link.
- Payment has to be made via challan.
- Now, print the challan and make payment to your nearest SBI branch for the successful submission of the application.
Application Fees of PPSC 2026 Examination
You have to follow certain steps for the submission of the application fees.
- After the successful filling of the application form, select the mode of payment as offline.
- Generate a fee payment challan for the PPSC 2026 application fee.
- Visit any SBI branch to submit the fees before the final date of submission of the application fees.

PPSC Selection Process
It is a must to have complete knowledge about the examination before proceeding further with its application. So, here is a detailed description of the same.
The organization conducting PPSC selects candidates based on their performance in subsequent rounds of the examination. The PPSC exam is conducted in three rounds- Prelims, Mains, and the final round is the Personality Test. Every test filters out the candidates and only the applicants who make it to the final round get selected for further postings.
PPSC Exam Pattern
As mentioned earlier, the examination includes three stages:
- Prelims
- PPSC Mains
- PPSC interview
The paper patterns for the two exams are different. The candidates must have a thorough knowledge of both.
Paper Pattern for Prelims Examination 2026
The prelims examination is an objective exam that consists of two papers each 200 marks. The duration of Paper-I and Paper-II in the Prelims exam is 2 hours.

PPSC Admit Card
The admit card for the exam is released a few days before the date of the examination. Applicants are required to download the admit card from the official website. Also, they have to carry one ID proof, photograph along with the admit card to the exam center.
PPSC Result
Soon after the PPSC prelims exams are over, the Punjab Public Service Commission announces results on the official website. The result list will have the name of the students who successfully qualify for PPSC Mains.
The final list of the result will contain the name of the students who clear all three rounds successfully.

The applicants who make it to the final round and get successfully recruited in the Punjab Public Service Commission get benefited from various perks.
- The average salary ranges between INR 15,000 to INR 39,000 with additional pay of INR 6000.
