India Post GDS Important Dates

India Post GDS Application Process

The online application process includes the following stages in the GDS online application process as follows:

• Online Registration
• Payment of Fees (Online or Offline)
• Online application

Below are the steps to complete the online application for India Post GDS

• Visit the official website of the India Post GDS viz. www.appost.in.
• Go to the registration link and click on the “Registration” tab. Enter the required details such as Name, Mobile Number, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, etc.
• You will receive an OTP after the registration is completed on the registered mobile number. And, a unique registration number will be generated.
• Make the payment for the application fees through online or offline mode as per your convenience. To make an offline payment, candidates must visit the head post office.
• After the payment is done fill-up the GDS online application form using the registration number and other details. Upload your educational certificates, photo, signature, etc. in the prescribed format. Click on the “Submit Details” button.
• The candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form for their future reference.

Documents required during the application process are as follows

• DOB Certificate or SSC Mark sheet as DOB Proof
• Scanned Copy of Signature
• Scanned Copy of Photograph

• Community or Caste Certificate (If Applicable)

India Post GDS Admit Card

• To download the admit card you can visit the official website of India GDS, viz. www.appost.in
• Log in with the required credentials and the link to download the admit card will appear on the screen. Click on the link.
• Candidates are required to enter their details like password, username, etc.
• Enter the required details and click on Submit.
• The aspirants will get the admit card displayed on the screen.
• Download it and save it for future reference.

India Post GDS Selection Process

The selection process of India Post GDS is as follows:

• The candidates will be selected on the basis of the merit list that will be released by the authorities according to their parameters set by them. There is no specific exam for this particular selection process.
• Only marks obtained in Class 10th will be considered for the selection process.
• Aspirants are required to apply by entering their marks obtained in Class 10th only in the form of marks obtained. For those who have grades have to convert them into marks and fill in the application form.

India GDS Result

The result and merit list will be updated on the official website. Students can visit the website and download the result card and merit list in the pdf format and save it for future reference. The steps to download India Post GDS are given below:

• Step 1: Go to the official website of Gramin Dak Sevak Engagement Portal of India and login using the login credentials.
• Step 2: A list of postal circles will be displayed on the homepage.
• Step 3: Search for the postal circle you have applied for and open it.
• Step 4: Click on the link “Results”.
• Step 5: Once the page will be opened, the aspirants can check the GDS Merit List displayed on the screen in the format of PDF.
• Step 6: Candidates are required to enter their registration number and have to find their name from the list.
• Step 7: Now, Download the result in the pdf format and save it for future reference.

India Post GDS Vacancy

India GDS recruitment notification is out for many states with a total of 16, 469 vacancies for the post of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. The vacancies for different states are given below:

India Post GDS Pay Scale

The India Post Gramin Dak Sevaks offeres salaries in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA). Minimum TRCA or salary payable to these three categories of GDS after 7th Pay Commission are:

• Dak Sevak - The minimum TRCA for 4 hours (level 1) is Rs. 10,000 and The minimum TRCA for 5 hours (level 2) is Rs. 12,000.
• Branch Postmaster (BPM) - The minimum TRCA for 4 hours (level 1) is Rs. 12,000 and The minimum TRCA for 5 hours (level 2) is Rs. 14,500.
• Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)- The minimum TRCA for 4 hours (level 1) is Rs. 10,000 and The minimum TRCA for 5 hours (level 2) is Rs. 12,000.

Incentives, Allowances & Perks for Gramin Dak Sevak after 7th Pay Commission:

• Children education allowance of a maximum of Rs. 6000 per year
• Stationery charges of Rs 25 per month
• CMA of Rs 180
• Office rent for Branch Postmaster of Rs 500 for standard office & Rs 200 for non-standard office
• Voluntary Retirement option available after a minimum of 10 years’ service
• Transfer Policy: One-time transfer for Males & 2-times for Females
