Important Dates for UPPCL JE Civil and Electrical

The UPCCL has released the exam date for the 2021 exam. The exam will be conducted in 2 shifts on the 7th and the 8th of September. The 2021 exam for JE (trainee) Electrical is to be conducted on the 7th of September and the timing for the first shift is 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The timing for the second shift is 14:30 PM To 17:30 PM. The 2021 exam for JE (trainee) Civil will be conducted on the 8th of September 14:30 PM to 17:30 PM.

UPPCL JE 2021 Vacancy

A total of 212 Vacancies (expected) have been released for the year 2021. Out of these 212, the vacancies are divided into Electrical Engineer and Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineer.

JE (Electrical): 191 Posts

JE (Electronics/ Telecommunication): 21 Posts

Last year 296 and 31 vacancies were available for the post of Electrical and Civil Junior Engineer respectively.

UPPCL JE 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate appearing for this exam has to be eligible in certain criteria listed below.

• Educational Qualification
  • Candidates should have at least cleared three years of diploma in Electrical Engineering for being eligible to appear in this exam. This diploma is given by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad of Uttar Pradesh or any equivalent of the Parishad, as recognized by the state government can also be counted for eligibility.
  • The candidates can also provide an all-India diploma in Electrical Engineering conducted by AICTE.
  • A Diploma from any type of Electrical Engineering from any Indian University is recommended.
• Essential Qualification
  • This is a very important part of the eligibility criteria. Candidates should be fluent in the Hindi language and should also have a thorough knowledge of the Devnagri script. If the candidate doesn’t have a school education and therefore, passes the exam in Hindi, they are advised to appear for the exam conducted by the Registrar, Department Examination Government of UP, but it should be done within the three years after they have joined.
• Age Limit
  • In the UPPCL JE exam, the candidates who are between the age group of 18 to 40 years are eligible to appear for the exam. The age limit is to be followed strictly – a relaxation in age will be considered for the candidates from the reserved categories.

UPPCL JE 2021 Exam pattern

The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries 1 mark. The exam also has a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect response. All the questions are to be solved in 3 hours.

The formula for the calculation of the marks is –
Total Marks =No. of correct answers x 1 – no. of the wrong answers x 0.25
