SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- The candidates should not be more than 30 years old as of 1 August 2021.
- As per the Government’s rule, the reserved category candidates are eligible for age relaxation.
- Date of birth is mentioned in the 10th Certificate, and will be considered for age count.
Nationality
- A Citizen of India or
- A Subject of Nepal or
- A Subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to permanently settle in India or
- A Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Educational Qualifications
- Aspirants must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University / Institution.
- Master Degree English /Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and a relevant degree from the recognized University/Institution.

SSC JHT Admit card
- Release of admit card July 2021
- Admit Cards are available on the official regional websites of the Staff Selection Commission.
- Candidates are required to carry their admit card along with an original photo ID proof to the exam centre.
SSC JHT Preparation
- will be better if the desired aspirants practice 2-3 passages regularly.
- It is necessary to self-evaluate the translation skills by translating passages from English to Hindi and Vice versa every day.
- Do not repeat the same points more than once in your writing
- Try to write the essay in a Neutral tone, throughout the essay.
- Maintain the structure of the essay. When you write it, you should include an introduction, main concept, positive aspects, negative aspects and then conclusion.
- Make a habit of not using unnecessary words while you write an essay.
- Always maintain the word limit of the essay and you should write it in understandable language.
- The candidates should write the essays on online platforms, which will help you to build your typing speed.

Answer: There are two stages in the exam. In stage 1 there is the SSC JHT exam. There are two papers - Paper 1 is the General Hindi while Paper 2 is the General English. In stage two there is one paper.
