Job Profile

  • Supervision of Work: Initially, the engineer has to supervise all functions so that he understands the functions and goals of the organization.
  • Planning: make an estimate and plan for repairs and renovation.
  • Accounts: A Junior Engineer is liable for maintaining bills for all work administered by the contractor. A Junior Engineer can also be liable for contributing to the bookkeeping process incurred by the section he's working for.
  • Scheme Execution: must have a basic understanding of the schemes of the government and must ensure smooth workflow of these schemes.
  • Assisting Superiors: assist higher authorities on a day to day basis.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: ensure the safety of the kit and also make sure that the equipment of the organization is maintained.

SSC has released the JE Admit Card after the application status for the prelims exam.

Preparation

  • Make Notes: Try to make your own notes which will help you to revise quickly. If not possible try to highlight the key points.
  • Develop Reading Habits: Allocate some time every day to read newspapers, current affairs magazines, and various books for engineering subjects.
  • Know The Syllabus: Go through the SSC JE Syllabus and SSC Exam Pattern thoroughly. Segregate the topics according to the difficulty level.
  • Go Through Previous Year Papers: Go through the previous year question papers and check the weightage of different topics, type of questions asked and their difficulty level.
  • Take Mock Tests: Taking SSC JE mock tests will help you get a clear idea about where you are standing and where you need to improve. You will also get used to the pressure of taking exams.
