RRB JE Exam Dates

The official RRB JE notification 2026 is not yet released by the railway board. Therefore, the following table highlights the tentative dates of the RRB JE 2026 examination.

RRB JE Eligibility

RRB JE eligibility criteria 2026 is depending upon three factors, which are nationality, age group, and educational qualification.

Nationality

• Indian citizen
• The subject of Bhutan/ Nepal
• Tibetan refugees who had migrated to India before 1 January 1962 with permanent settlement intentions.
• The candidates, who migrated to Burma, Pakistan, Vietnam, Burma, East African countries (such as Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zaire, Zambia, United Republic of Tanzania) but have the intention of permanently living in India.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years

Educational Qualification

• Three years of Diploma in the relevant stream
• B.E/B.Sc Degree/ B.Tech in the relevant stream

RRB JE Application Process

• Visit the official website of RRB JE that is the rrbcdg.gov.in
• Choose and open the district from where the candidates are belonging or are willing to apply for the same
• Next, the candidates have to register their names by providing detailed information like the Name, valid Email ID, and mobile number.
• After that, the aspirants need to login into their registered account by providing the generated registration number and the password.
• Now, the applicants should provide the essential details such as personal and educational details, which are mentioned in the application form.
• The registration process will be completed once the payment will be done.

Documents Required to Fill the RRB JE Application Form

• Passport-sized photograph of the aspirants
• Signature of the candidates
• Photo ID
• Marksheet of 10th and 12th

While filing the RRB JE 2026 application form, the candidates have to upload the scanned image of the photograph and signature. The photo should be clicked recently and it should be in passport-sized format. A white background image is more preferable for uploading the images. On the other hand, the signature should be done preferably in black or blue ink.

RRB JE 2026 Application Fee

To complete the application fee payment process, the candidates can opt for both the online and offline modes. In the case of the online fee payment procedure, the applicants can use the credit/debit/visa/Rupay/Mastercard or they can rely on the internet banking process. On the other hand, in case of the offline fee payment procedure, the candidates should complete the payment through E-Challan where the cash has to be deposited to the SBI Bank. The application fee of the General category candidates is Rs. 500, whereas, the SC/ST aspirants have to pay Rs. 250 while filling the RRB JE Application form.

RRB JE Exam Pattern

• Mode of the test: Computer-based (CBT)
• Languages: English, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Malayalam, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu, Konkani, Assamese, Manipuri.
• Question Types: Objective Type
• Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer, while ⅓ mark will be reduced in case of every wrong answer.

RRB JE Syllabus

RRB JE CBT 1 Syllabus:

• General Intelligence
• Reasoning sections
• General Awareness
• General Science

RRB JE CBT 2 Syllabus:

• General Awareness and Physics/ Chemistry syllabus is the same as CBT 1
• Most of the questions will be covered the technical abilities
• Questions from core subjects of graduations will also be asked

RRB JE Exam Center

RRB JE exam centres will be allocated by the examination conducting authority and the venue cannot be changed further. RRB JE exam centres are divided by regions. RRB JE Admit Card

RRB will release an e-Call letter on the online portal. The candidates will receive the updates related to the RRB JE admit card on the registered email ID/ mobile number. To download the RRB JE admit card, the aspirants should go through the following steps:

• Click on the RRB JE admit card download link
• Enter the required details such as registration number and password to login your window
• Provide the registration number and date of birth to download the call letter
• Download the admit card, once it is displaying on the screen
• The aspirants should take e print out of the admit card for future reference

• Original photo identity proof (Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter Card/ Ration Card/ Passport/ Permanent Driving License)

RRB JE Selection Process

The RRB JE selection process consists of four stages

• Stage 1: CBT I or Computer BAsed Test I
• Stage 2: CBT II or Computer BAsed Test II

• Stage 4: Medical Exam

The basic salary of RRB JE is INR 35,400 per month. The candidates will be eligible to avail the additional benefits like dearness allowances, HRA, and other perks once the training is completed.
