OPSC Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The applicant appearing for OPCS exams must be less than 32 years and above 21 years of age. ( as of 1st day of January 2023)
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must have obtained an undergraduate degree from any recognized University.
- The candidates should read, write and speak in the regional language that is Odia.
- He/she must have passed in Odia as a Language subject in middle school
OR
- Candidates should complete their Class-VII education from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha
- Applicants must have cleared a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard arranged by the School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha,
- Or
- Cleared HSC or equivalent exam with Odia as the medium of examination.
OPSC Application Form
New Applicants can apply for the OPSC recruitment 2023 next year. Below steps can be followed while filling the application form:

- Start the registration procedure.
- Fill up the required details while filling the application form.

Application Fee
The applicants appearing for these examinations need to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable amount of INR 500.
Note- SC/ST candidates of Odisha and persons having 40% disability don’t need to pay the application fee.

OPSC Exam Pattern
Applicants have to qualify for all three stages in the OPSC exam to get shortlisted for a government job.
Stage I- Preliminary exam
- This stage includes 2 papers, objective types (MCQs) will be asked.
- Paper I- General Studies (maximum marks 200)
- The merit list of the test takers will be finalized based on their marks in Paper I.
- Paper-II: Paper 2 includes aptitude questions and weightage is 200 marks. Paper 2 will be qualifying in nature and it is mandatory for the candidates to get a minimum of 33% in the Paper-II else their Paper I will not be evaluated.
- Both paper 1 and paper 2 will have a duration of 2 hours (each).

The mains exam includes 5 compulsory papers along with 4 optional papers (2 Optional Subjects)

Stage III: Personality Test
Only those candidates who are able to qualify for the mains examination will be called for a personality test round interview. The personality test has a weightage of 250 marks. This round is included to test candidates' mental capabilities, logical skills, critical thinking, variety, and depth of interest, and most importantly their ability to become leaders and give a balanced judgment.
Applicants qualifying for the Main exam will get a call for an interview from the Board constituted by the OPSC. The Interview round holds 250 marks. The aim of including this section is to check candidates’ suitability for the job. An interview will be arranged to judge the below-mentioned traits of the candidates:

- Social traits
- Candidates’ Interest in current affairs
- Critical powers of assimilation
- Variety and depth of interest
- Intellectual and moral integrity
The final list of selected candidates will be prepared based on the overall marks achieved in the Mains examination and the personality test.

OPSC Admit Card
The admit card for the OPSC 2023 exam is released a few days before the exam date. Admit card is the mandatory document and is required to write the exams. Steps to download the OPSC admit card include:
- Visit the official website (www.opsc.gov.in).
- After that tap on the ‘Hall Ticket’ Link and write your credentials over there.
- Tap on ‘Admit Card’
- Take a printout of the Hall Ticket.
OPSC Exam Centers
The Odisha Civil Services Prelims and Mains exams are conducted at five Zonal Centers of Odisha including Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, and Sambalpur. The name of the zone will be presented on the admit card of the candidate.

- Candidates have to check the official site of OPSC.
- After that click on the ‘Result’ option available on the right side of the page.
- Submit all the important details like Date of Birth, Roll Number, Name, and Password
- After that tap on the ‘Submit’ Button
- Results will appear on the main screen.

Odisha Civil Services Answer Key 2020
OPSC normally announces the answer key of the prelims exam and mains exam on its official website. The final answer key will be made official after the commission judges the objections raised against the provisional answer keys announced for the Odisha Civil Services Examination.
