NIACL AO Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
A candidate must be:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India
Education Qualification (as of 30/09/2026)
Must be a Graduate/ Post Graduate from a recognized University in any discipline.
Must hold at least 60% marks in either of the degree exams for General candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Age Limit (as of 01/04/2026)
The candidate should be of age group 21 to 30 years (for the general candidate) to apply for NIACL AO Recruitment 2026. The upper age relaxation for other categories is tabulated below.

- Step 2: Select the โRecruitmentโ option given at the top of the homepage
- Step 3: Click on the โNICL AO Apply Onlineโ option
- Step 4: You are redirected to the application form page. Click o n the โNew Registrationโ option
- Step 5: Fill in all the required fields like your name, Parentโs Name, contact details, email ID, etc. Once you fill this page and click on the โSubmitโ option, your registration number and password are shared with you on the contact details mentioned in the form
- Step 6: Next upload your passport size photo and scanned image of your signature.
- Step 7: Next, fill in your educational qualifications. Make sure that the information you entered is correct as these certificates and degrees are checked at the time of Interview
- Step 8: In the next part of the application form, you need to state information regarding your date of birth, category, disabilities, exam centre, etc.

- NIACL AO (Generalist) is the Scale-I administrative job profile and the work profile includes the responsibilities of the First entry-level officer.
- NIACL Administrative Officer is responsible for dealing with policymaking, clauses, risk proposals and authorization of claims

NIACL AO Salary

The selected candidate will be salaried with total emoluments of approximately Rs 60,000/- per month (Metropolitan Centers) with the other allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, etc.
Exam Cutoff
The NIACL AO 2026 Cut-Off will be released after each phase of the examination is completed. The cut-off for the Preliminary exam will be released first followed by the cut-off for Mains Exam.
