The MPPSC stands for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. MPPSC State Services exam is organized to recruit for various vacancies available across different departments of the Madhya Pradesh State Government.

The MPPSC was formed in 1956, called as Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission or MPPSC it is a state government-owned and managed agency of Madhya Pradesh state. The primary role of the agency is to conduct civil services examinations and other competitive exams. Lakhs of candidates apply for various civil services and departmental jobs within MP state each year. MPPSC organizes entrance tests for several jobs within the state governmental departments. The frequency of these exams is once a year.

Admit Card 2026

Steps to download the Admit Card

  • Admit cards will be issued by the authorities to those applicants only who have successfully completed the application form.
  • Admit card is made available online at least before 10-15 days of the exam
  • Click on the official site and log in using your credentials.
  • On the page, tap on the โ€œclick admit cardโ€ option to download the card.
  • Candidates have to take a printout of the admit card.
  • It is vital for the candidates to carry their Admit Card while entering the examination hall.
  • No candidate will be permitted to go inside the exam center, without the admit card.

Important details like candidatesโ€™ names, test center details, reviewing instructions, age, etc. are given on the admit card. They need to show their admit card while appearing for the exam. A separate admit card will be issued in the name of eligible and/or qualifying candidates before the respective exam.

  • Candidates need to click on the tab of the admit card on the site.
  • The details such as application ID, the application number, and the category of the candidates are to be filled.
  • After clicking on the submit button, candidates will be able to view as well as download the admit card.
  • Candidates must ensure that they take a print of the MPPSC 2026 admit card for reference.

Eligibility Criteria 2026

The age limit to take the MPPSC exam, educational qualification, etc. are mentioned below.

  • The candidates need to be Indian citizens.
  • Male candidates having more than one wife (present) are not entitled to give the exam.
  • Female candidates establishing a relationship with a married man will not be able to get this job.
  • The candidates who claim age relaxation or reservation in more than one category for the Exam shall get only one concession.
  • The minimum age of the candidate can vary from 18-21 years while they should not be more than 40 years as of January 1, 2026.
Detailed age criteria

Age criteria also vary from one post to the other such as:

  • Candidates applying for the Assistant Superintendent post must be between 18 to 30 years
  • For the Transportation sub-inspector post, the age limit must be between 21 to 35 years
  • For the Superintendent of the police post, the age limit is 20 to 45 years
  • For other posts, candidatesโ€™ age must be between 21 to 40 years

To give the exam, the candidatesโ€™ Physical Measurements/Fitness for a few posts will be considered. Also, these candidates need to give a medical test as well as post-interview to get shortlisted for the job.

MPPSC Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026

The course content is prepared by the MPPSC. The commission takes Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) for appointing officers and employees within different departments of the Madhya Pradesh Government. The maximum of the syllabus for prelims and mains is the same as the IAS Exam syllabus. The MPPSC Prelims exam is an objective exam where the candidates are required to focus on even minute details about the topics mentioned in the test while the Mains exam is conducted to check candidatesโ€™ analytical approach.
