The Mizoram Public Service Commission is a state-level administrative body which conducts the recruitment exam for the Mizoram administrative services to fill in the job vacancies for the state services in Mizoram.

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has set a three-stage selection procedure for the Mizoram MPSC examination:

Mizoram MPSC Prelims Exam Pattern
The Preliminary examination consists of two papers:
- Paper I: General Studies
- Paper-II: Aptitude Tests
Mizoram MPSC Prelims is only qualifying in nature and hence, the marks in the Prelims exam shall not be added to determine the order of merit for the final selection of candidates.

There will be a penalty (negative marking) for every wrong answer given by a candidate in the objective-type questions. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
Mizoram MPSC Mains Exam Pattern
Mizoram MPSC Mains exam shall comprise of a written examination and personal interview. The written examination will consist of six compulsory papers and one optional subject of two papers each and each paper will carry 100 marks.
The duration of each paper in the Mains exam will be 3 hours and there will be descriptive-type questions in each paper. The candidates who are declared to have qualified in the Mains (Written) Exam shall be called for an interview for a personality test.

MPSC 2026 Personality Test
- Candidates who clear the mains exam with above the cut-off marks set by the panel will be eligible to attend the interview.
- The interview is conducted for a maximum of 100 marks.
- The marks obtained in the mains exam together with the interview marks shall be considered for the final rank list of selected candidates.

Mizoram PSC Eligibility Criteria

Mizoram PSC Selection Process
The Mizoram MPSC Recruitment process involves three selection stages:
Stage-I: MPSC Prelims
The Mizoram PSC Prelims exam is a qualifying exam. Only those candidates who qualified Prelims examination would be eligible to take the Mains. The marks of the same will not be added to the official marks list based on which the final selection will be done.
Stage-II: MPSC Mains
The second level of the Mizoram PSC selection procedure is the Mains exam. The candidates who clear this stage and secure the minimum cut-off will move onto the round of personality tests.
Stage-III: MPSC Interview
In the personality test, the candidates will be asked one on one questions by a panel of members. The marks obtained in the Mains, and the interview, will determine the final selection of the candidates.
