The MPSC, also known as Manipur Public Service Commission conducts Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination called as Manipur PSC to recruit candidates for Manipur Administrative Services, Manipur Police Services, Subordinate officers, Finance officers, and Election officers.

The level of the exam is comparatively easier than other Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission held in India. MPSC Manipur 2024 will be held in the first week of October (tentative). Registration forms for the same are yet to be released. Admit cards shall be issued to all the candidates once successful registration and payment of fees have been completed.

Manipur Public Service Commission includes all the disciplinary concerns of an individual serving the state government in a civil capacity, including petitions or memorials related to such matters. The Manipur Public Service Commission also works as an advisory body. The MPSC has to advise on any matter related to it assigned by the state government.

Manipur PSC Eligibility

Manipur PSC Eligibility Criteria based on Nationality

The candidate must be :

Manipur PSC Eligibility Criteria based on Age Limits

The candidates who are applying for the Manipur PSC exam must fulfill the provided age criteria as per the official notification. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and at most 30 years of age as of 1st of July, 2024.

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC who are also physically handicapped will be eligible for a grant of cumulative age relaxation under both categories.

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates of all categories as the last time and now the present maximum age limit for all categories of candidates shall be:

Candidates must hold a degree in any of the Universities enacted by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or recognized as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or have equivalent qualifications as prescribed under section 6 (iii) of II, Chapter I of the Manipur Public Service Competitiveness Test Rules,2010.

Manipur PSC Application Form in Offline Mode

The candidates who want to apply for Manipur PSC can apply for this exam through offline mode. Interested candidates can apply for Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination by getting the application forms along with the syllabus for Preliminary Examination and information for the candidates on payment of Rs 50/- from the counter of the office of MPSC only during the provided working hours.

The candidate or his/ her representative shall submit in person/ by hand the duly filled-in application forms along with the self-addressed stamped(Rs. 5/-) envelope of the size of 23cm x 10 cm.

The candidates must avoid submitting their application forms through postal service or couriers in the wake of the uncertainty of postal services at present time. Loss or delay due to postal / courier service will not be the responsibility of the Manipur Public Service Commission and no claims in such matters will be entertained by them.

MPSC Manipur Online Application Form 2024

Candidates may also apply for the Manipur PSC exam through online mode. The candidates need to fill up the application forms available on the official website. Following are the steps to apply online for the Manipur PSC exam.

  • Visit the official website https://empsconline.gov.in.
  • On the startup, the page locates the “Application form” option.
  • Click on Sign Up and complete the registration process.
  • You will receive the password on your mail-id then.
  • Log in using your credential and click on apply now.
  • Complete your application form and proceed with the document upload.
  • Upload all the required documents in good quality and submit them.
  • Proceed with the application fee payment process and pay your application fees online through any provided options.
  • After successful fee payment, save a soft copy of the application form along with the fee payment receipt for future references.

Important Note: All candidates in service other than freelancers or their own business will be required to state in the application form that they have informed in writing to their employer / controlling authority that they have applied for this examination. If the employer or the controlling authority rejects permission to the candidates applying for appearing at this examination, their application will be rejected and his/her candidature will be liable to be canceled.

The MPSC Manipur examination is a two-tier-based examination. Candidates have to clear the Prelims as well as the mains examination for the final selection.

The candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam are shortlisted for the mains exam and final selection is done on a merit basis after the interview process.

There are 2 papers in MPSC Manipur Prelims Exam 2024. Both papers will be held in English, Hindi, and Manipuri. The question asked in MPSC Manipur Prelims 2024, will MCQ type. Paper-II is qualifying in nature. Here is the MPSC Manipur Prelims exam pattern:

Manipur PSC Mains Exam Pattern 2024

The General English paper will be of Matriculation or equivalent standard and will be of qualifying nature. The marks obtained in the general English paper will not be counted for ranking.

The papers for Essay, General Studies, and Optional Subjects of only such aspirants will be evaluated who have attained the minimum standard fixed by the Commission in their discretion for the qualifying papers i.e. General English.

For the literary papers of the Languages- Hindi, Manipuri, and English, the scripts to be used are Devanagari, Bengali, and English respectively. The question papers for the Mains Examination will be of subjective type.

It is compulsory for the candidates to carry the MPSC Manipur Admit Card issued by the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) to the exam center to write the exam. MPSC Manipur Cutoffs 2024

Candidates scoring more than the minimum qualifying marks do not guarantee selection due to a large number of competitions. The candidates scoring top marks are shortlisted for the further rounds of selection.
The marks of the last selected candidates in each category are termed as the cutoff marks. The candidates need to score marks equal to or more than the cutoffs for further consideration.

The selection of the candidates is done based on merit. The following are the stages of the MPSC Manipur Selection process :

  • Conduction of the Prelims Exam of the Eligible Candidates.
  • Shortlisting of the candidates for the Mains Exam based on their performance in the prelims.
  • The candidates who qualify in the mains exam have to get through an interview process after which they are shortlisted based on the total marks obtained.
  • Selected candidates are provided with options to choose their preferences of posting during the counseling round.
  • At the center, the document verification round also takes place and the candidates need to be present with all the required documents and certificates.
