Eligibility Criteria

Domicile

Only the candidates of the Domicile of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory are eligible to apply for the said posts.

Age Limit

The age limit shall be determined as of 1st April 2024 for Probationary Officers:

• Minimum Age -20 years.
• Maximum Age- 32 Years

Education Qualification

Applicants should be graduate/postgraduate with 60% marks in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central government. The final result should have been declared on or before the day the candidate register for the online application

Interview

The Board will conduct the Interview where the candidates who will qualify for the Mains exam will be eligible to give this last stage of the selection process. The board will conduct the interview where questions will be asked from the committee of members. The final merit list of selected candidates will be released by the board on the official website

Syllabus

Job profile

• The selected candidates, at the time of joining, will have to execute a bond of Rs.2 Lakhs to serve the bank for a minimum period of 5 years.
• The bond will be invoked by the bank if the candidate resigns from the service of the bank before the completion of 5 years from the date of joining.
• On joining, the selected candidates will be designated as ”Banking Associates” and will be on probation for a period of six months.
• During the probationary period, the candidates will be continuously assessed for their performance.
• The candidates who qualify in the assessment as per the standards determined by the bank will be confirmed the service of the bank in Banking Associate.
• If any candidate fails to achieve the minimum standard stipulated by the bank, his/her services can be terminated.

Salary

Currently, the starting salary of J&K Bank PO is INR 23,700. The pay Scale is INR 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2- 32850-1310/7-42024 & other benefits as per Junior Management Grade Scale-I.

• A freshly appointed Probationary Officer will get INR 23700 as a basic monthly pay
• For the upcoming 7 years, an increment of INR 980 will be done
• Later, the basic monthly may be INR 30560, with an annual increment of INR 1145 up to 2 years
• After that, the basic pay per month will be INR 42024 with an annual increment of INR 1310 for the next 7 years.
