IOCL Apprentice Important Dates

IOCL Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

In IOCL Recruitment the eligibility criteria differs from post to post. Candidates can have a look at the following eligibility for Apprentice which is given below:

Educational Qualification

• It is mandatory for the applicants to pass Matric/ ITI/ Graduate/ Diploma in relevant trade from a recognized board or institute.
• The candidate should have a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum of 24 years.

IOCL Apprentice Application Form

Candidates who are eligible and want to apply to IOCL recruitment have to fill the application form on the official IOCL website but need to wait because NOT yet released. Candidates will be able to apply on the official website in online mode. No other modes of application shall be entertained. Follow the instructions mentioned below to complete your application:

• Visit the official website of IOCL
• Click on the IOCL Apprentice Recruitment link.
• On the screen, as the new page appears, click on the “Candidates Registration” on the left side of the page.
• Enter the information that is required, correctly.
• After Registration, go to the Login page and log in with your registration number and password.
• Fill in other credentials, upload the required documents.
• Pay the registration fees according to the post and category selected for you.
• Verify all the entered details in the form and click on the “submit” button.
• Download the application form and take a print for future reference.

Documents required for the Application Form

Below is a list of documents that are required at the time of filling out the application form.

• Xth Std/SSLC/Matriculation Certificate/Mark sheet
• EWS/Caste Certificate, if applicable
• Recent color passport size photograph
• Signature in black ink
• Certificate of ITI/Graduation/Diploma in Engineering

IOCL Apprentice Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of IOCL exams is different in various posts and vacancies due to the difference in jobs profile. The following exam pattern is for the post of Apprentice.

• The duration of the IOCL Apprentice Exam is of 90 Minutes.
• The exam is a computer-based exam and has multiple choice questions carrying one mark each.

IOCL Recruitment 2026: Syllabus

Three subjects are common for all the posts viz. the Generic Aptitude, Reasoning Abilities & Basic English is common for all posts. On the other hand, candidates who have applied for the posts of Trade Apprentice & Technician Apprentice will face an additional section of Technical Acumen.

The syllabus for General English is Word Formations, Cloze Test, Subject-Verb Agreement, Idioms & Phrases, Fill in the Blanks, Adverb, Fill in the Blanks, Adverb, Missing Verbs, Synonyms, Verb, Unseen Passages., Meanings, Antonyms, Grammar, Sentence Rearrangement, Sentence Rearrangement, Articles, Phrase Replacement, Error Spotting/Phrase Replacement, Para Jumbles, Reading Comprehension.

The syllabus for General Aptitude is Time and Distance, Ratio and Proportion, Partnership, Problems on H.C.F and L.C.M., Chain Rule, Average, Logarithm, Simple Interest, Allegation or Mixture, Height and Distance, Data Interpretation, Clocks & Calendars. Permutation and Combination, Pipes and Cistern, Square Root and Cube Root, Boats and Streams, Time and Work, Compound Interest, Blood Relations, Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Probability, Problems on Ages, Surds and Indices, Volume and Surface Area, Area.

The syllabus for Reasoning is Visual Memory, Decision Making, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Number Series, Similarities and Differences, Problem Solving, Space Visualization, Judgment, Analysis, Discriminating Observation, Figure Classification.

IOCL Recruitment Selection Process for Apprentice

There are three stages in the selection process of IOCL Apprentice 2026 such as written test, document verification, and Physical fitness. Following is the detailed information.

Written Test

• The candidates who are eligible and have successfully completed the application form will get the Admit Card for the exam.
• The aspirants should score at least a minimum of 40% marks in the written test to qualify for the selection process.
• The minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories against reserved positions shall be 35%.
• Qualified candidates will be informed about the next round of the exam.

Document Verification

According to the Merit lists, the candidates will be notified about the document verification. Below is the list of required documents:

• Class XII or SCVT/Graduation/Diploma in Engineering
• 10th Pass/Matriculation certificate issued by the concerned education board
• SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/Disability/EWS-Income & Asset Certificate Competent Authority (if applicable)
• Conversion certificate from CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade to the percentage of marks, if applicable.
• Skill certificate issued by an awarding body if applicable
• Class XII/Final ITI Marksheet and certificate.
• Any other Certificate, as specified.

Pre-Engagement Physical Fitness

• The qualified candidates will need to fulfill the minimum physical fitness parameters.
• Medical examination of PwD candidates shall be with due consideration to the provisions of Rights of Persons.
• The candidates who will be declared fit by the authorities shall join as an apprentice.

IOCL Apprentice Admit Card

The candidates who have filled the online application form will be called for the written exam and it has been NOT yet released. The admit card for the written test is expected to be released in the first week of March 2026.

• On the left side of the screen, click on the download link button of the admit card for the IOCLRecruitment 2026
• A new page asking for your login credentials will open.
• Then click on the search button to view the admit card
• IOCL Recruitment 2026 Admit Card will be displayed on the screen
