The Important dates expected for Gujarat Police 2024 are given below.

Vacancy

Gujarat Police 2024 notification is not yet announced by the Gujarat Police Department. But the notification is expected to fill the vacancies of Constables and Sub-Inspectors (SI). The exact vacancies count is not known but it is expected to fill the vacancies from 11,000 to 12,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational requirements vary from post to post according to the notification released by Gujarat Police Department. The Overview of the Eligibility Criteria for various posts is discussed in the table below.

Age Limit

The age range for a candidate to be eligible for Gujarat Police department posts is between 18 and 50 years of age.

Various posts have different age-related requirements which will be available in the released notification only.

As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), there is certain age relaxation for a certain group of candidates applying to the posts notified by the Gujarat Police Department as depicted in the following table:

Application

Gujarat Police Recruitment 2024 could be applied by the following steps

• Visit the Gujarat Police Department website.
• Check the currently available/open notifications.
• Read the notification carefully and ensure the eligibility criteria for those notified posts.
• Click the ‘Apply Online’ button.
• Fill all the mandated and optional data appropriately in the displayed online application form.
• Scan the signature and passport size photograph as per the specifications to upload it online.
• Upload any other documents that are needed for the notified posts.
• Pay the Application Fees.
• Submit the duly filled and documents attached application after preview.
• Take a print or save it for your future reference.

Application Fees

• The Application fees are not the same for all the posts which varies based on the notified posts.
• The minimum application fee could start from as low as INR 100 for the OBC and General Candidates applying to the notified posts excluding the bank or post office service charges and application fees are completely waived off for SC, ST, Women, Ex-servicemen, and EWS Candidates.
• The application fee payment can be remitted both in online and offline modes based on the candidate’s convenience.
• In online mode, the payment methods supported are Credit Card or Debit Card or E-wallets, or Net Banking.
• In offline, the payment can be made by challan or in the form of DD as declared by the Gujarat Police Department.

Required Documents to apply

Be aware of some of the documents listed below needed before applying for Gujarat Police.

• Passport size Photograph.
• Signature.
• Degree Marks Memos.
• PwD certificate if PwD candidates are applying.
• Valid ID Proof carrying the sign of a Gazetted Officer.

Try to download the Gujarat Police Admit Card/Call Letter as early as possible once it is available in the official portal to avoid any last-minute network traffic and print it. Without the Admit Card Hard copy, no candidates will be allowed to enter the exam center. So, always try to have a colour printout of the Gujarat Police Admit Card so that it’s legible and clear.

How to Download Gujarat Police 2024?

• Step 1: Go to the official of the Gujarat Police Department Application portal at https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in/
• Step 2: Click on the ‘Call Letter’ button on the top side of the page.
• Step 3: Select your examination and go to the page Call Letter.
• Step 4: Then, select the active Job notification for which the Admit Card/Call Letter has been issued.
• Step 5: Enter the Registration or confirmation Number.
• Step 6: Then, Enter the Date of Birth in dd/mm/yyyy format.
• Step 7: Click on ‘Print Call Letter’ to open the Admit Card pop up.
• Step 8: Try to save the file first.
• Step 9: After saving, check if the Admit Card or Call Letter is legible and clear.
• Step 10: Then, set the printer settings as follows: Paper size: A4 Size; Print Layout: Portrait Mode; and Print type: Colour print.
• Step 11: Print the downloaded Admit Card and keep it safe to carry to the exam center on time.

Exam Centres

The Exam Centres allocated to write the Gujarat Police Exam are based on the preference chosen by the candidate at the time of filling his/her application form for the notified posts. But, due to the COCID-19 Pandemic, the exam centers’ distribution might have been reduced somewhat which might be checked by the candidates once the 2024 notification gets released the next year.

All the details of the Exam Centres like Name, Location, and entire address will be found in the Gujarat Police Admit Card itself. Carefully keep a note of it and reach the exam center well before the exam time after reading the instructions given on the backside of the Admit Card provided to you.

Exam Pattern 2024

• Gujarat Police 2024 exam pattern will be similar to the exam pattern in 2024.
• For various posts, different stages of selection will be adopted by the Gujarat Police Department to select the candidate for service.
• For the written examination stage found in almost all of the notified Gujarat Police Vacancies, the exam will be conducted with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• The exam will have a maximum mark of 100 marks.
• There will be one mark allocated for each of the questions found in the Written Test.
• The Written test will usually consist of 3 sections.
• The 3 sections are Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and General Knowledge.
• Each section has some weights in it.
• General Knowledge or Current Issues Section will have an indicative weightage of up to 50 marks.
• The Reasoning Ability Section will have an indicative weightage of up to 15 marks.
• The Numerical Ability Section will have an indicative weightage of up to 35 marks.

Preparation

There will be 6 or more rounds in the Gujarat Police Recruitment in 2024 as per the latest trend for the candidates to clear before they can get placed as the Police Officer in the State of Gujarat.

• Physical Standard Test (PST).
• Written Test (Mostly offline).
• Endurance Test.
• Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
• Medical Test.
• Document Verification.
• Interview.

The Candidates need to secure the qualifying marks/score in each of the rounds to proceed to the immediate next rounds. Each round shall have different kinds of criteria for qualification as follows:

• The written exam will have the minimum qualifying marks of 40 to enable the candidates to pass on to the next round.

Result

As said earlier, the Candidates need to secure the qualifying marks/score in each of the rounds to proceed to the immediate next rounds. These qualifying marks will be announced right after each round s of selection adopted for filling the various posts.
