- 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen in each category of Constable (Exe.) male. Out of the 10% quota meant for Ex-servicemen, half, i.e. 50% of such quota, have been reserved for the following categories of Ex-servicemen:
- Having served in the Special Forces/ NSG (Special Action Group) or;
- Having received a QI ‘Qualified Instructors’ grading in the Commando course or;
- Officers from the Navy/ Air Force who has worked in the specialized Commando-type units.
The Commission will make a selection of candidates pursuant to the vacancies reported by Delhi Police. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies. Implementation of reservation policy, maintaining reservation roster and earmarking of vacancies for different categories comes under the domain of Delhi Police.
Eligibility
Candidates who are willing to apply or Delhi Police Constable must be a citizen of India. The candidate must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for the Delhi Police Constable Exam:
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have passed 10+ 2 (Senior Secondary) from any recognized school board, on the closing date of receipt of online applications.
Relaxable up to 11th pass only for:-
Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, dispatch riders, etc. of Delhi Police only. Sons of serving, deceased, retired police personnel including MultiTasking Staff of Delhi Police.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The age limit for Delhi Police Constable is 18-25 years as of 01-07-2024. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-07-1995 and later than 01-07-2002.

- Essential Requirement
Candidates must possess a valid driving license for LMV(Motorcycle or Car) for the post of Const. (Exe.) Male in Delhi Police as on the date of PE&MT. A learner License is not acceptable.
Applications
The application form of Delhi Police Constable Recruitment must be filled in the online mode through the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. to apply online, candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the official website SSC or https://delhipolice.gov.in/
- On the homepage search for “New Registration” and click on that link.
- Create your Registration ID and password.
- Log in using those credentials.
- After login, fill in the required details very carefully.
- After correctly filling in all the details you will be asked to upload the required documents.
- Uploading your scanned photograph and signature, click on the “Continue” option.
- Preview the form once again and click on the “Submit” button.
- Download and take a printout for future correspondence.
- Application Fees
- The Application Fees can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
- The candidates who wish to make the cash payment through challan of SBI may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of the bank.

Admit Card
The admit cards of Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2024 are mostly released one week before the starting of the exam. The candidates are shortlisted based on their eligibility and requirement.
The participating candidates are allowed to collect their Delhi Police Head Constable Admit Card 2024 online using their Registration Credentials. The Delhi police admit cards are a Vital Entity to attend the Delhi Police Exam. The candidates should take admit cards in addition to the ID Proofs.
Exam Centres
A candidate must indicate the Centre(s) in the online Application Form in which he/ she desires to take the examination. - A candidate has to give the option for three centers, in the order of priority, within the same region. No request for change of Centre will be considered later under any circumstances. Hence, the candidates should select the centers, carefully and indicate the same correctly in their applications.
- The Commission will endeavor to accommodate the candidates in centers opted by them. However, the Commission reserves the right to cancel any Centre and ask the candidates of that center to appear from another center. Commission also reserves the right to divert candidates of any center to some other Centre to take the examination.
Exam Pattern
- The computer-based test will have objective type or Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- All the questions will be objective comprising a total of 100 Questions.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 Marks for each wrong answer.
- The written exam for the Delhi Police Constable will be for a duration of 1 Hr. 30 Minutes.
- All the questions for the Delhi Police Constable recruitment will be set in English and Hindi.
- There will be four sections each comprising different marks.
- The question paper shall be of Matriculation Level.

Syllabus for Reasoning
The reasoning ability and analytical aptitude to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This section may include questions on analogies, similarities, and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observations, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasons and figural classification, arithmetic number series,· non-verbal series, coding, and decoding, etc.
Syllabus for Numerical Ability
This section will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and. Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work. etc.
Syllabus for General Knowledge
The questions will be asked related to India and its neighboring countries especially about Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Indian Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Computer Fundamentals, MS Excel, MS Word, Communication, Internet, WWW and Web Browsers, etc include questions on the following:
Elements of Word Processing (Word Processing Basics, Opening, and Closing Documents, Text Creation, Formatting the Text and its presentation features).
MS Excel (Elements of SpreadSheet, Editing of Cells, Function, and Formulas)
Communication (Basics of Email, Sending/receiving of-Emails and its related functions)
Internet, WWW and Web Browsers (Internet, Services on Internet, URL, HTTP, FTP, Web sites, Blogs, Web Browsing Software, Search Engines, Chat, Video conferencing, e-Banking).

Selection Process
The candidates will be selected for the vacant posts based on their marks which will be obtained from the examination as well as physical and medical tests completely. The final selection list or the merit list will be published on the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in.
The Selection Process of Delhi Police Constable 2024 includes 5 stages as follows:
Stage 1 - Computer Based Test (CBT)
The Computer-based examination will consist of one objective type multiple choice paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The qualified candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance on the CBT for the next stage of the selection process. The cutoff will be issued with the results.

Stage 3 - Medical Examination
After qualifying for the above tests, candidates will be called for the medical tests. The candidates need to be fit according to the medical test which will be conducted on the authority’s specified date. This examination will be performed by the doctors selected by the conducting body.
Stage 4 - Document Verification
The qualified candidates are required to present the required documents. The candidates must qualify at this stage to be appointed for the posts.

Cutoff Marks
The cut-off marks are the minimum marks to be scored by the candidate to be selected for the next round. The Cut off marks depend on the three factors as the level of exam, the number of candidates who appeared in the exam, and the number of vacancies.
Candidates who will be attending the online examination will have to score the minimum qualifying marks. Therefore, candidates need to have a clear view of the cutoff marks. Here are the expected cutoff marks of Delhi Police Constable 2024:

Salary
The Delhi Police Constable Salary is based on the PayScale of INR. 21,700 – INR. 6,9100. This means the starting Basic Pay is INR. 21,700(Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC pay Matrix Level-03). The salary also includes various allowances which are calculated based on the Basic Pay and other factors.
The year-end bonus to Delhi Police Constable will be credited in the month of January annually. The dress allowance of INR 10,000 will be paid in the month of July annually.
