The CGPSC stands for Chattisgarh Public Service Commission. This exam is conducted annually by the Government of Chattisgarh under the supervision of the State governor to recruit capable candidates for working under the government of Chattisgarh into different administrative departments. The CGPSC conducts many of the competitive-level exams in the state. CGPSC is a public service grant commission that conducts civil services examinations to various posts in Chhattisgarh state of Madhya Pradesh, Public service commission works under the provision of Act 315, of the Indian Constitution, which was formed on 23rd May 2001. The headquarter of the CGPSC is based in Shankar Nagar Road, Bhagat Singh Square, Raipur, and Chhattisgarh. CGPSC held this year to fulfil the requirement to 272 posts of state government, as such for civil services, State police services, finance service officer, Commercial tax officer, Superintendent of district jail, Labor officer, District women, and child development registrar, Assistant director, assistant registrar, subordinate account service officer, Child development project manager ( naib tehsildar), Assistant jail superintendent., Commercial tax inspector., Cooperative tax inspector and Excise SI. CGPSC Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have graduated from any stream and class are eligible to appear for the exam.
- The age limit for the examination is a minimum of 21 years to a maximum of 29 years, according to the year and month, January 2020.
- Institutions from which a candidate has completed his/her graduation should be affiliated to UGC (UNION GRANT COMMISSION), under ACT 1956 (section 3).
- The age relaxation of up to 5 years, is allowed for the permanent residents of the state of Chhattisgarh irrespective of caste or category and to the candidate who is a widow on her first appointment.
- Age relaxation of up to 8 years can be expected for the OBC, SC, and ST applicants who are permanent domiciles of state Chhattisgarh.
- Age relaxation up to 3 years, for the defence personnel and disabled individuals can be expected.

The selection process for the MPSC exam is done through the three stages given below:

- The exam was conducted on 09 February 2020, applicants who have qualified for the prelims examination were only eligible to appear for the Mains.
- For the mains registration, individuals are required to register themselves on the official portal of CGPSC via filling in their important details, and uploading documents as mentioned on the website.

- Earlier, the exam date for mains was scheduled to be held between 17-20 June. Which is now rescheduled under the statement “yet to be declared” by the CGPSC, due to the present pandemic situation in the country.
- CGPSC soon will release the mains examination date on their official website. Candidates are advised to revisit the site at regular intervals. Interview round will take place on behalf of mains results only, by selecting eligible candidates for it by the officials.

CGPSC Admit Card
- If the aspirants have fulfilled the required eligibility criteria, then they can appear for the examination and will be provided with the admit card for the prelims and mains. The admit cards for mains and prelims will be issued separately.
- Admit cards will be available on the official website of CGPSC; candidates can log in, to check their details and download admit cards, before appearing in the examination.
- Candidates must come to the examination Centre along with their admit card, and one photo ID proof.

The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission for State Service Exam consists of two mandatory papers including objective-type questions. The span of the exam is 2 hours for each paper.
First Paper: The paper first subsists of General Studies (100 Questions, Marks 200, and timing 2 hours). There are 1/3 negative marks for every incorrect answer.
Second Paper: The test Paper is an Aptitude Test (100 Questions, Marks 200 and time 2 hours) There are also 1/3 negative marks for every incorrect answer.
Maximum passing marks: In each test paper there is a maximum passing mark. The maximum passing mark is as follows.
The passing marks for handicapped Students Reserved Category are 23%
The passing marks for the General Category are 33%
CGPSC Mains exam pattern
The CGPSC State Service Exam has three phases:
- Prelims Exam
- Mains Exam
- Interview
CGPSC Mains exam consists of 7 types of paper, and they all carry 200 marks each.
- Duration of examination: 3 hours each.
- Language of examination: English and Hindi.

CGPSC Result
The result of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission is declared in different three stages – Prelims and Mains, Interview. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission 2021 result will be published in the form of a pdf containing the roll numbers of all the qualified students. Those who have passed the prelims exam will be available to appear for the mains exam. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission’s result for final selection will be announced depends on the performance of students in the mains exam and interview. The merit list will catch details like roll number and name, DOB marks obtained in written tests, interviews, and total scores.

Q. What is the weightage of evaluation criteria for the CGPSC interview round?
A. The interview round carries 75 marks and will be conducted for only those candidates who qualify for the mains exam as well.
Q. Will, there be any marks relaxation for women candidates?
A. While reserved category candidates get 5% marks relaxation for qualifying for the exam, there is no such provision for female candidates.
