BIS Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

The BIS releases a detailed notification where the eligibility criteria for each post are given. There are several parameters that the candidates need to fulfil to be selected for the respective post. The details of the same are given below.

Educational Qualification for Scientist ‘B’ Post

There are varied educational requirements based on the post the candidates are applying for. Some posts even require working experience. Thus, it is necessary to check this before filling the application forms.

  • Assistant Director (Administration) for Legal
    • Degree in law
    • Relevant experience in the State/ Central/ Union Territory Government or Statutory/ Autonomous Body/ Public Sector Undertaking/ reputed Government agency.
  • Assistant Director (Finance)
    • Must be a Chartered Accountant/ Cost and Works Accountant/ Subordinate Accounts Service Accountant/ Master of Business Administration (with finance specialization). They must have completed studies at a well-known university.
    • Minimum of three years of experience working in any Central/ State/ Union Territory Government or Statutory/ Autonomous Body or institution.
  • Assistant Director (Marketing & Consumer Affairs)
    • Completed MBA, Or
    • Master‘s Degree or PG in journalism, Or
    • Master‘s Degree or PG Diploma in Social Work from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Assistant Director (Library)
    • Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science, or Library Science, or
    • PG Diploma in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a well-known university or college.
  • Assistant Section Officer
    • Graduation from a recognized University or equivalent
    • Computer Proficiency Test
  • Personal Assistant
    • Graduation from a recognized University;
    • Need to clear Computer Proficiency Test
    • The candidate must be an expert up to Level-6 of the National Skill Qualification Framework.
    • must have Knowledge of Shorthand test in English or Hindi comprising dictation test at 100 words per minute for 7 minutes
  • Junior Translator (Hindi)
    • PG Degree from any renowned University in Hindi with English, Or
    • PG Degree
    • Two years’ experience related to terminological work in Hindi or translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa
  • Library Assistant
    • Graduation with a recognized Diploma in Library Science. Also, a minimum of three years experience is needed.
  • Stenographer
    • Graduation
    • Should be efficient at least up to Level-6 of the National Skill Qualification Framework.

    • Need to pass the Skill Test in Computer Proficiency

BIS Recruitment Fill Application Form

To apply for the BIS Recruitments 2021 follow the steps given below. The candidates must go through all the details before they finally apply

  • Go to the official site at www.bis.gov.in.
  • Tap on the register option there.
  • Mention your complete name, phone number, and Email address for doing the registration.
  • You will get a provisional Registration Number and user Password
  • Use that to log in.
  • Start filling the application form by mentioning all the details including Personal Details, Education qualifications, and other important details mentioned over there.
  • Now upload your signature, photo, mandatory documents, and required certificates
  • Now pay the application fees and submit the same.
Documents Required

The candidates must keep in mind the important details. The following documents are handy while filling the application form. Failure to upload any of this will result in the rejection of the application form.

  • The Photograph must be 200 x 230 pixels of 20KB to 50KB
  • Signature: 140 x 60 pixels of 10KB to 20KB
  • The needed proof related to educational details, caste certificate, total experience, etc. needs to be uploaded.
  • For Stenographer and Junior Secretariat Assistant posts, candidates must not forget to upload Computer Proficiency proof.
  • While applying for Personal Assistant and Assistant Section Officer, make sure that you upload proof of Computer Proficiency up to Level- 6 of the National Skill Qualification Framework at the time of filling online application
