Every year The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) invites applications for ASRB NET, also known as ICAR NET (Indian Council of Agriculture Research NET). This exam is conducted to recruit Lecturers / Assistant Professors in State Agricultural Universities and other Agricultural Universities. Master's degree holders with the relevant academic background can appear for this exam to become eligible for the posts in multiple disciplines. Eligibility
These are the basic eligibility criteria to apply for ASRB NET 2026:
- Educational qualification: A master's degree or equivalent in the same discipline for which one is applying.
- Age: Lower age limit for application is 21 as of 01.01.2026. There is no upper age limit for ASRB NET.
- Number of attempts: There is no cap on the number of attempts for ASRB NET.
Applications
The ASRB NET Application Form has been available soon and those candidates are wishing to become Lecturer / Assistant Professor in State Agricultural Universities (SAU) and other Agricultural Universities, can apply for this examination by filling the Application Form and the following procedure mentioned below to fill Application Form.
- Firstly, applicants must have to go on the official webpage of the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board.
- Applicants should have to read the instructions carefully and fill in the registration details in the required field.
- In the Application Form, applicants should have to enter all the correct and complete details after submitting login details.
- They have to upload their scanned documents such as photographs and signatures as per the prescribed format.

The ASRB NET Admit Card will issue to the applicants before 15 days of examination and those applicants have successfully submitted their Application Form, they can download the admit card online mode by visiting the official website.
Admit Card is an important document, which should carry by the candidates at the examination center. Candidates without admit cards will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Selection Process
The selection process of the ASRB ICAR net is as follows:
ASRB NET Application: After the release of the ASRB NET notification, candidates need to apply online on the official website of ASRB. The application process includes registration, filling in basic details, and online payment of the application fee.
ASRB NET Admit Card: Successfully registered candidates will be required to download their ASRB NET admit card online, no admit card will be sent by post.
ASRB NET Exam: ASRB NET is qualifying in nature. The exam is conducted in online mode. If we look at the ASRB NET exam pattern, it is clear that candidates have to answer a total 150 a number of questions within 120 minutes, each question carries one mark. There is a negative marking system in the exam, 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer. Questions are asked from the subject the candidates are appearing for.ASRB has specified the ASRB NET syllabus for each discipline. The level of the papers shall be of masterโs degree. Question papers are made available in two languages- English and Hindi. If any discrepancy is found in any paper, English medium paper will be given leverage.
Result
The ASRB NET Result will declare on the official website of the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board and those applicants who have been given the examination can check their results online mode.
