The APPSC stands for Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. It is responsible to conduct many exams all around the year for recruitment in offices across the state. The exams are very popular in the state of Andhra Pradesh and to understand the papers, the aspirants must check old question papers. There are in total four groups for which the exams are conducted- Group I, II, III, and IV. The details for the same are given below.
APPSC (Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission) has released the notification for the postponement of APPSC Group 1 Recruitment Interviews. The exam was supposed to start on June 17, 2024, but now it has been postponed for 4 weeks.

APPSC Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria that are specified for each post of each group is very particular and different from every other group.
Nationality
The specifications related to nationality and domicile are almost the same for all the groups and posts. Thus, all the candidates can check the following points.
- The interested applicants, who are willing to apply for the APPSC Group 1 exam, must be Indian.
- In addition, the interested applicants should belong from the state of Andhra Pradesh Domicile.
Eligible Age Groups
The age requirements are different for different groups and posts. Thus, we have segregated them.
Age Requirements for Group I
In the following table, the required age groups are specified on the basis of the postcodes. The candidates must check their respective postcodes.

Physical Specifications for Group II
The physical requirements for all the posts of group II are the same, the only difference is between the male and female candidates.

Note: Two eye tests will be conducted of the aspirants of all the groups to examine any abnormality in their eyes is present or not.
Educational Qualification
The educational criteria for all of the positions are different. Here, we have mentioned the details of some of the posts. To know the details of the rest, the candidates must check the complete eligibility criteria of APPSC Exams.
District Fire Officers in A.P. Fire Service. | From any recognized University, the aspirants should qualify for the Degree in Engineering (Fire). However, if the aspirants would not have B.E (Fire) qualifications then any equivalent degree will be considered. |
Asst. Treasury Officer/Asst. Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service | The interested aspirants should have a degree in Economics or Mathematics or Commerce from any UGC affiliated University with at least 2nd class in the subject. Apart from this, the candidates can also be Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom or India or the incorporated Accountant (London). |
District Social Welfare Officer in A.P. Social Welfare Service | The candidates should complete the bachelor’s degree from an affiliated Indian University or from any Central Act or State Act or Provincial Act Affiliated Institution by the University Grants Commission. The candidates, who will acquire a degree in Social Work or Sociology, can also apply for this post. |
APPSC Application Process 2024
The application process for all the APPSC examinations is the same. The forms are released on the official website and there are no other means of doing the same.
- To enroll the names, the aspirants have to fill the APPSC online application form.
- The candidates have to open the official website of APPSC at psc.ap.gov.in.
- Now, the students have to open the homepage of APPSC, and then they need to click the ‘Andhra Pradesh PSC Application Form’.
- In the next step, the candidates have to provide the essential details in the form.
- Once you complete the application form, the aspirants have to upload the scanned image of your photograph and signature.
- Now, you can submit your APPSC online application form 2024
- Lastly, you have to submit the application fees for completing the online application form fill-up process.
- Do not forget to take a printout of the application form for your future reference.

APPSC Admit Card 2024
The Commission releases the admit cards for all the four groups on their official website and the steps to download them are the same. Below, are listed the steps to download the APPSC Group 1 admit cards. The aspirants can follow these steps for others as well.
Steps to Download APPSC Admit Card
- Enter the official website APPSC at psc.ap.gov.in.
- Click the link given "APPSC Group 1 Hall Ticket" Enter your log-in user name and password details.
- Click on the link "Download Group 1 Service Center Ticket" and download it.
- Check the details given in the hall ticket.
- Take a printout for future reference.
The discrepancy in the Admit Card
\The APPSC admit cards reflect the official records of the candidates and the committee. There are very few differences in the details mentioned in the APPSC admit cards because there is no manual intervention when preparing the admit cards.
In case of any discrepancy in the APPSC Hall Ticket, the candidates need to inform the commission immediately and do the needful to rectify the errors.

APPSC Selection Process
APPSC Group 1 Selection Process
There will be three stages of rounds to be selected as the APPSC Group 1 2024 Examination. To know the details about the two exams, the aspirants should follow the old question papers of APPSC.
Stage 1: APPSC Group 1 Prelims (Screening) Test
The screening examination will be conducted in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The APPSC Group 1 admit card will be released seven days prior to the examination. However, the score of the APPSC Group 1 Prelims exam will not be considered for the final merit list. Only this score will be considered for appearing in the second round of the examination.
Stage 2: APPSC Group 1 Main Exam
This is a type of exam that is the conventional type exam, which will be conducted in offline mode. The score of the Main exam will be calculated for preparing the merit list. The aspirants will have to answer seven conventional essay types questions.
Stage 3: APPSC Group 1 Interview
This is the final round of the exam, which will be conducted at the commission’s office in Vijaywada. To appear for the exam, the aspirants have to submit the original documents and these are:

APPSC 2024 Answer Key
The APPSC viz. Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission releases the answer keys for all the exams before the publication of their respective results. The answer key is released on the official website and can be checked in a similar way as the admit cards were downloaded. The aspirants can check and tally their answers with the ones released by the Commission to have an idea about their score.
In case if any candidate finds any incorrect answer in the official answer key, they can raise objections against it. They have to send an official email from their registered email id mentioning their registration number, name, question number, and their representation of the answer. They should be able to give a proper explanation for their objection. The other details about the answer key and the steps to object is mentioned by the Commission in the answer key notice.
APPSC 2024 Result
APPSC releases the results of all the examinations in three stages- Prelims, Mains, and Final. The first two results are published after the respective rounds of exams have been conducted while the last one is released after the Interview and the Document Verification. The final selection of aspirants is done on the basis of the Final Result.
All the APPSC Results are released on the official website and the steps to check any of them are following.
- Go to the official website of APPSC at psc.ap.gov.in
- Find and select the notification for the APPSC Result.
- In the options given there, choose the link for your group.
- A new window asking for your registration number will open.
- On entering the registration number, the PDF of your result will be visible on the screen.
- Download and save the PDF.
- Take a printout for future references.
